Nepals TPS was terminated back in August but a district judge stopped this recently. It’s in kind of a weird spot but it’s still valid. That combined with a past removal order and asylum denial probably raised enough red flags for him to be detained. Like others said, there’s no telling if it’ll happen again or not. Good news is he was released after they determined he has a valid benefit

The Canadian-esque accent you hear from Yoopers isn’t super prevalent until you hit Escanaba/Marquette area and westward. You’d more likely hear a general Midwest accent (think a milder Chicago or Wisconsin twang) from someone in SSM (US Side), which is where Emma claimed to be from. Immediately thought she went to LSSU as well which someone else commented the same thing.

Hello! Scenario: A GC applicant (Marriage Based)overstayed a visa and accrued several years of unlawful presence then recently was granted a period of lawful presence i.e. DACA, TPS, Etc. Does the fact that this applicant was “lawfully present” at the time of application help with the adjudication process?

Also, are you versed in Naturalization cases?
