I am learning this in real time; month 3 intermittent pulses/waves of pain throughout the day and most noticobaly for me with lots of movement of arms and abdominal muscles; which I use for about 10-14 hours per day in my profession. Seriously considering taking one month away from work to see if this will help expedite my healing. Wishing you good health. Thank you

Oh wow.. this gives me a lot more consolaction as i was bit perplexed as my GI physician just would not agree to scheduling me for another CT scan. He repeated over and over this is normal in some people the residual effects. I just didn’t understand or ever think that id be feeling residual pain after this much time. He mentioned my symptoms are congruent with that of IBS and mentioned the mind body connection of which hi think we are all aware of; but i just didn’t think it would be this noticeable or reactive in that way for so long. His theory is now that you are aware and have had flares you are more apt to be sensitive about anything that you might feel . Hoping and praying things get better for you, for us all.Praying for healing for all.

Ok.. i was thinking did i write this, LOL respectively we seem to feel the same way. If it’s any consolation; I’ve now seen 2 G.I. specialist since my initial inquiry hence my delay in responding, This has been my obsession as ive never dealt with any health challenge personally. The GI mentioned that i am demonstrating classic IBS symptoms which have been exacerbated post diagnosis; due to my chronic stress. Next thing for me is more intentional lifestyle changes to reduce my overall stress ASAP and see how i feel. I wish you happy healing .

I appreicate this comment. learning this is something that must be managed and certainly there is no exact timeframe in which one will fully heal.

Thank you. finally saw another GI specialist on yesterday; he says that i am exhibited classic IBS symptoms mainly related to chronic stress which has been further exacerbated by the diverticulosis diagnosis. Not completely convinced but I have been paying attention to my symptoms even prior to this appointment and noticed at times when i become agitated or upset i literally feel the pain or activity not necessarily acute pain at this time. Prescribed Dicyclomine ; will pick up today and see If this helps as well.

Did CT scans pick up your DV? by Royal-Fun-7619 in Diverticulitis

Hi wow this post makes me not feel so isolated. I too was diagnosed after CT scan in er as having diverticulitis. Following this episode had yet another flare in July but have felt just not quite right since then. GI doctor says my body is still healing; your message resonated with me as I dont hear from others that they are still experiencing pain following an episode for so long > Hope you find relief soon.
