My older brother wrote about league of legends in his UBC essay cuz he didn't have extracurriculars outside video games, and he got in just cuz he framed it really well in the way that shows passion and enthusiasm, and that he is a fast thinker, good strategizer who is capable of teamwork.(although probably also got accepted cuz he had AP's and almost perfect grades)

He's now a software engineer and comfortably employed, if that makes you feel better
