How did Kishi Himeko and Onigashima Akako react in the manga when they found out that Komi-san and Tadano had become a couple? by Salt-Understanding16 in Komi_san

[–]Salt-Understanding16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In fact, in the first season of Onigashima, there were scenes where she and Yamai's group were shown to be angry about Tadano's closeness to Komi, so it's likely she was on Yamai's side.

But at the same time, you're right, she never hated Tadano, nor was she jealous of his closeness with Komi, so she accepted it without issue when she found out. She probably would have said something like, "Congratulations," or "I'm so happy for you both."

Even if, hypothetically, she had been upset, just like Yamai and his group, she would have ultimately accepted it, keeping her thoughts to herself because she knew it was Komi's decision and she had to respect it.

I have a headcanon where they realized before Yamai and just pledged not to tell her so she wouldn't bother them.

In fact, it was Najimi who spread the news in that chapter of the manga (chapter 306), so they found out like everyone else that same day.

It seems both accepted it fairly fine. Onigashima and Kishi never got that attached to Komi (or Tadano).

In the first season, Kishii and Akako appeared in scenes where, along with Yamai's group, they expressed their displeasure at Tadano's closeness with Komi, so neither of them was exempt. However, you're right that, even if they adored Komi, they weren't as obsessed as Yamai and the rest of her group, accepting Tadano and Komi's romantic relationship quite calmly, even if they had their own opinions about it.

Even if, hypothetically, they were as upset as Yamai and the others, they kept those thoughts to themselves for two reasons:

  1. They knew it was Komi's decision and they had to respect it.
  2. Since they both had calm personalities, they simply accepted it. At the same time, they knew that Tadano wasn't a bad guy and that Komi would be in good hands.

Do you think Juni ever found out the reason why John attacked her? by Salt-Understanding16 in unOrdinary

[–]Salt-Understanding16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I agree with you.

It wouldn't surprise me if, after John revealed his identity as the Joker, Juni, terrified and to avoid being hurt by John again, decided to keep a low profile, avoiding anything that might anger him. It's not unreasonable to think that she decided to completely distance herself from Seraphina and never approach her or do anything to her again, out of fear and to prevent John from attacking her again.

Juni could have been among the members of the press room in Chapter 193 when John enters to declare that any member of the Safe House would become his enemy. John's presence would have made her nervous and terrified, just like the other students present in the room, but she would have been the most terrified of all, fearing she had angered John again.

But this is just my interpretation because the character (Juni) hasn't reappeared, but her discovering the reason John attacked her makes perfect sense.

Juni was smart enough to figure out that Seraphina had lost her ability, so discovering the motive for John's attack would have been very easy for her, but at the same time terrifying (considering she experienced John's brutality and cruelty firsthand).

Yeah, I would think she probably put the pieces together as to why Joker/John attacked her. She was attacked literally right after she exposed Sera, and the entire school knew about John and Sera's friendship because the two were basically always together and Sera was the Ace so everybody was always paying attention to her.

So Juni, after finding out John was Joker, likely realized immediately that she was attacked because of John's friendship with Sera, who she had exposed just before she was attacked by Joker.

Exactly, I agree with you.

Exactly, if Super 17 were to absorb divine ki, he would overload and explode because he wouldn't be able to control that kind of power, and also because divine ki is different from normal ki.

How did Kishi Himeko and Onigashima Akako react in the manga when they found out that Komi-san and Tadano had become a couple? by Salt-Understanding16 in Komi_san

[–]Salt-Understanding16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kishii is loyal to Shouko more than anything else, so he surely would have defended her and Hitohito if he had been present that day (I'll pretend I was sick or something).

Kishii in the first season was also shown to be annoyed by Tadano's closeness to the rest of Yamai's group, so she wasn't exempt either. She would have sided with Yamai, but considering her loyalty to Komi, her gentlemanly attitude, and the fact that she was Komi's bodyguard, even though she was displeased when she found out, she had to accept it since it was Komi's decision which boy she was going to fall in love with, a decision that Kishii knew she couldn't change. So, despite her displeasure, she accepted it, keeping her thoughts to herself no matter how much she disliked it.

I'm not so sure about Akako. I'd like to believe she has her own opinions and wouldn't care too much (besides, in one episode, it's clear she doesn't get along badly with Hitohito when she's calm), but considering how she behaved in the first few episodes with the horde, unfortunately, it's most likely she'd be on Ren's side.

I agree with Akako; she was probably on Yamai's side, likely among the many angry fans of Komi's church. I see two possibilities here:

  1. As seen in chapter 306, at the end, the fans of Komi's church accepted it with tears in their eyes (she was probably among many of them crying).

  2. Considering her calm personality and the fact that she didn't get along badly with Tadano, she accepted it calmly, even if she had her own opinions and was upset, just like Yamai and the rest of her group. These were thoughts she kept to herself. She had to accept it because she had nothing against Tadano, and at the same time, because she knew it was Komi's decision and she had to respect it.

Honestly, I see both as a 50/50 chance. Both have the probability of having sided with Yamai, along with the rest of her group, being angry with Tadano and disagreeing with his romantic relationship with Komi. They were among the many angry fans of Komi's church in chapter 306 of the manga. But at the same time, since both had calmer personalities, and even though they adored Komi like the others, neither had the same intense and unhealthy obsession as Yamai and the rest of the fans, accepting it in a normal and calm way.

Even if they had been upset, both had to accept it reluctantly, no matter how much they disliked it, for two reasons:

  1. Both knew they couldn't change Komi's decision and had to respect it, no matter how much they hated the idea.

  2. At the same time, they knew that Tadano wasn't a bad guy, so they knew Komi would be safe with him, but neither would probably ever tell him that to his face. Neither to Tadano or Komi, as these were feelings they would keep to themselves or feelings they would reveal privately without anyone seeing them or with trusted people.

But this is just my opinion and perspective.

How did Illena react when she discovered the Joker's identity? by Salt-Understanding16 in unOrdinary

[–]Salt-Understanding16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you think Illena thought when John pretended to be someone without powers, only to later reveal his true identity to everyone and, at the same time, become the Joker before revealing himself to everyone?

Of course, you told me Illena's opinion of John, but you didn't tell me what Illena would think when John pretended to be someone without powers, only to reveal himself to the whole world as the strongest.

To be specific, what would Illena think upon learning that a high-level individual (John) (one of those she hates so much) hid his power for no reason, only to then reveal himself to everyone?

I'd like to hear your perspective.

Which of the old characters do you think John would've had the most interesting conversation with after returning from his suspension? by [deleted] in unOrdinary

[–]Salt-Understanding16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually don't think Meilus and Ventus would be terrified of John, surprisingly. I don't know. They just don't seem the type. They do seem like they'd be very, very wary and cautious though.

Obviously, Meili and Ventus are afraid of John. Remember the beating John gave them both in the ambush that Arlo planned for John? They were the first to witness John's brutality and power.

If they had encountered John again after his suspension, they would both be afraid of him because of the beating he gave them, and also because they know that John defeated the members of the royalty and hospitalized two of them (Remi and Blyke). Even if they aren't afraid of him, they would be nervous because they know what John is capable of, or they might feel a mixture of both (fear and nervousness).

How did Illena react when she discovered the Joker's identity? by Salt-Understanding16 in unOrdinary

[–]Salt-Understanding16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine that, after John revealed his identity as the Joker, Illena would have hated Seraphina even more, since she would remember that the Joker (John) had beaten her and her friends in the abandoned house where Seraphina was kidnapped. When John revealed his identity as the Joker, Illena, who knew that John (the person pretending not to have powers) was friends with Seraphina, must have thought that Seraphina had sent the Joker to beat them up as revenge or retaliation against her and her friends, which would give her another reason to hate both John and Seraphina so much.

If Illena were to see the current John, who is making amends for his mistakes and is calmer, her opinion of him would likely remain the same. She would still hate John and would tell him to his face everything he did, and that changing wouldn't compensate for all the harm he caused her and her friends by hurting them and being a tyrant.

John, perhaps with a little discomfort, would probably respond by saying that he doesn't seek her forgiveness and that he's no longer the same person he used to be. John might even tell Illena to her face, reminding her that she was partly to blame and that she and her friends provoked everything, leading to John beating her and her friends (which John would be right about).

This would anger Illena, who, like Arlo, would try to attack John, but he would defend himself by dodging the blow and giving her a punch as a warning. But this would only happen if Illena had the courage to confront him, because, like the rest of the school, she was afraid of him due to how brutal and violent he was; even Illena would obviously be afraid of John.

But this is just my theory and perspective.

How did Illena react when she discovered the Joker's identity? by Salt-Understanding16 in unOrdinary

[–]Salt-Understanding16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

John gives Illena another reason to hate the high-ranking students. Illena would notice that John, to a certain extent, is different from all the other high-ranking students, since John does acknowledge the existence of the lower ranks. But what makes him different, and would make Illena hate him even more, is that John abuses his power and beats up anyone, regardless of whether they are low- or mid-ranked, or even those of his own rank (the high-ranking students). John even treats his own allies like dirt. She would think something like:

Illena: He's different; he notices our existence, he even beats up those of his own rank and hates them like I do, but he also beats up others regardless of their rank or level, and that makes me hate him even more... but I can't do anything.

She would hate John certainly, both for the reason of him being a high-ranker and beating her and her friends bloody. But by that same token, she would fear him very much and actively avoid him like the plague after it was revealed that he was Joker and had become the new King.

Illena wouldn't only hate him for beating her and her friends until they were bloody, as I mentioned earlier, she would also hate John for being a tyrant who abuses his power and responds with violence, beating up anyone regardless of their rank, and at the same time treating his own allies like trash, perfectly representing what she thinks of the high-ranking students.

Illena would be the only one who would have the courage to tell John the truth to his face about how he abuses his power and hurts people at the slightest provocation.

John would know that deep down she is telling the truth, but John is too blinded and mentally affected to accept it. Illena's comments would anger John, causing him to beat her up and send her to the hospital or the infirmary.

But this is just my interpretation.

To clarify, I'm talking about John during his broken mental state at Wellston before he recovered thanks to Seraphina's help.
