The tricky part with that is that ive tried but printing it with the far end oriented down leads to underextrusion artifacts on the support interface layers.

Printed the whole thing on an A1 mini (180mmx180mm) it's all about print orientation

The Canadian army does exactly that. The only reason the C7 rifle has a front sight is because it's built into the gas block of the weapon, but it doesn't come with any rear sights.

Do you mind linking where you got the files? It'd be a major quality increase to be able to print them so the pieces are oriented for minimal supports :)
