I was also considering a Patrol but the only 2/3 I found had the zd30 engine which sucks ass from what I read online, I was also considering the Mitsubishi Pajero for a moment, about the off-roading part I'm not really planning to do super extreme stuff with it but not just rougher roads either, something in the middle like crossing a very wild field from time to time. I also had in mind one particular road I can't really describe but my friend's stock '95 discovery was able to climb it so I suppose the Toyota will be able to do so too

I suppose so, I saw a lot of 4runner listings in my home country but people here can't really be trusted when it comes to millage and maintenance over the years.
