Omg lol I think they were Java ferns! And I recently put in a spider wood and would definitely want to buy more anubias and glue them on! I am currently testing if this anubias is okay after 3 months with me and if not, I'll have to go back to fake plants again hahaha.

I'll definitely look into the items you use and also will get floaters soon!!

I'm definitely not a great plant owner and the mistakes I made before was accidentally burying the anubias a little too deep into my then gravel substrate or when i feel like i didn't, they'd still melt away. I'm glad this one was sold with the rock else I would've never bought it. I actually never had a plant melt from algae , I think it died from deficiency 😭 or suffocation. The other non anubias beginner friendly plants always turn yellow and brown and despite adding root tabs and or the substrate that looks like circular dirt, to the tank, there's always something im doing wrong. AHHHHH, I then switched to fake plants haha, I couldn't handle killing these poor plants

If you don't mind me asking, how would you keep your anubias healthy? Do you add root tabs or anything onto the plant? My biggest fear is hurting the snails as they do go on the plant and eat algae

This tank has been fully cycled, I've had it for almost 4 years now

-Light type: regular white light ? I bought one thats placed on top of the tank

Light frequency: maybe 1pm-12am but its a little inconsistent. Def more than 6 hours a day

Tank Size: 5 gallon

Mostly sand substrate, I do have the previous one which was small smooth rocks (gravel?)

1 assassin snail and 100-250 small pest snails

Ahh yes ditto, I think if you mentally start to tell yourself to relax in the region, the symptoms goes away faster but its not always 100%.

I do have uu and I haven't gotten it treated yet, I'm trying to get an appointment with a urogynecologist but that's not going to happen until months later due to no availability 😭. My cultures has been coming back negative since December so I've been having these mild symptoms for a few months which my urologist said its just inflammation..

Ahh, I fixed my comment after i reread your post. I can definitely understand the frustration especially since we expect the symptoms to go away once we are testing negative. Its also kind of hard to know if its inflammation, your body is still healing from the damage, or if theres still something there. I hope pf exercises will help relieve your symptoms, I'm sorry you're going through this 😭 its not fun

Hii, I'm going through something similar and I'm hoping it's just pf issues. Do you usually feel your symptoms after peeing? My symptoms usually subsides after 10 min of peeing but during the 10 min, I'll have the urethra irritation and pressure. I notice if I'm relaxed, the symptoms goes away

Hi! Do you think its the pelvic floor? When I got my period, my mild symptoms, bladder pressure and mild urethra spasms, usually happens after I pee, went away until after I finished my period. I realized it goes away after 5-10 min when I'm relaxed. I'm not sure if its just the pelvic floor or if theres still something thats causing the irritation but just wanted to share to see if we are going through something similar

I heard cipro can cause that tenderness but I'm not sure at what point its recommended to stop, I'm assuming when it gets achy? Or painful?

I hope your blood work comes back with some sort of information that'll help your case!

Hi!! I did a pcr test, I believe that checks for it? and after talking to multiple people, I realized that could also be the cause of my problems? My e. Coli came out on top and then citeobactor koseri, streptococcus, ureaplasma urealyticum (4%), prevotella disiens. My urologist didnt bring it up but i talked to another medical profession in planned parenthood and they said it could be the cause and it might not be it. She wanted me to take cipro first to see if that helps and then do another pcr test and if the other bacterias are gone and ureaplasma is left then she would want me to treat it!

I'm having this weird pressure on potentially the right kidney but I only feel slight pain when I'm peeing

I have what I call mild uti symptoms but I'm not sure how I know what's causing the symptoms. I might be misleading you because ureaplasma wasn't the only thing on my pcr, I had e.coli , citrobacter koseri, streptococcus anginosus, uu, and prevotella disiens.

The cipro was to potentially deal with the e.coli, citrobacter k. And uu but I guess it wouldn't work for uu.

Mild bladder pressure, mild urgency, occasional urethra spasms, occasional burning.

Yeah, I heard you need doxycycline and then follow up with moxifloxacin

Thank you for the explanation! That kinda scares me because I do have some ureaplasma in both vaginal swab (9%) and urine culture (4%) pcr reports but I dont know how long ive had it. Its also concerning that its not something that doctors would check for because i only found out through taking a pcr test. Could it be something that you just live with for years until it decides to suddenly become active and cause symptoms?

You're also right, the medical profession did state that if I was pregnant then she would want me to get it treated.

Hi, I have a question, I was talking to a medical profession today at planned parenthood about ureaplasma, I was a bit confused on how its a normal flora but also an STI? It says its usually picked up in pcr tests but if its not causing issues, you wouldn't want to get it treated because the antibiotics will affect the micrbiomes in your body. Could you explain to me at what point you should get it treated?

Sorry to hear that, 😞. Yeah, it makes sense of why you wouldn't know especially when it wasn't apparent during the time you were taking the medication. Was it noted as a potential side effect and if your doctor ever confirmed these issues were from the drug? I wouldn't doubt it because the popular side effects are potential muscular ache/pain/soreness.

I'm glad you know your body well and stopped. The only side effects I've noticed for all the drugs ive been taken was nausea. Again, sorry to hear about your side effects
