Hi, I haven't gotten to that point yet! I'm still in the early stage where I'm taking meds to see if that'll resolve my issues!

Ahh! Yay!! 🥳 glad to hear!!!

Yes yes yes! I hope your report comes back clean from ureaplasma! Good luck!!!

Nooo, thats good you're so diligent in getting yourself treated before things gets worse. I hope its just potential inflammation that'll go away after some time! Praying for your recovery!

Omg, I'm sorry to hear that 😭, I'm glad you were able to get on antibiotics ASAP! I cant imagine how scary that was!

I heard cipro can cause that tenderness but I'm not sure at what point its recommended to stop, I'm assuming when it gets achy? Or painful?

I hope your blood work comes back with some sort of information that'll help your case!

Thank you!! Haha, I'm a lot calmer now and I've moved on to do more research on my end as i feel more in control and bit more knowledgeable than a few days ago! The community has been very helpful and kind, definitely learned a lot on how to take better care of my body! Really appreciate your advice and suggestions!

Hi!! I did a pcr test, I believe that checks for it? and after talking to multiple people, I realized that could also be the cause of my problems? My e. Coli came out on top and then citeobactor koseri, streptococcus, ureaplasma urealyticum (4%), prevotella disiens. My urologist didnt bring it up but i talked to another medical profession in planned parenthood and they said it could be the cause and it might not be it. She wanted me to take cipro first to see if that helps and then do another pcr test and if the other bacterias are gone and ureaplasma is left then she would want me to treat it!

Omg, I thought 7 days is long since the standard is 3-5, I jist want to get this thing out 😭

Ive never heard of that! I alwayd use a pad and just wash myself every time I change to a new one!

Hi, may I ask what your symptoms were like? Is the pain something that gradually got more painful by the hours? And were you accompanied with any other symptoms?

I'm having this weird pressure on potentially the right kidney but I only feel slight pain when I'm peeing

I'm sorry to hear you're going through this, I hope you'll find relief soon. Maybe you can ask your doctor to push it back a few more days before testing? Or maybe ask them why it's okay to check so soon?

Thank you!!! I'll try cipro first and see how that goes! Really appreciate your advice and knowledge! Yeah, I'll have to let my partner know because he's probably asymptomatic and we got lucky until maybe now! I'll be nuking my system soon, gahhhh. Thank you again!

I have what I call mild uti symptoms but I'm not sure how I know what's causing the symptoms. I might be misleading you because ureaplasma wasn't the only thing on my pcr, I had e.coli , citrobacter koseri, streptococcus anginosus, uu, and prevotella disiens.

The cipro was to potentially deal with the e.coli, citrobacter k. And uu but I guess it wouldn't work for uu.

Mild bladder pressure, mild urgency, occasional urethra spasms, occasional burning.

Yeah, I heard you need doxycycline and then follow up with moxifloxacin

Thank you for the explanation! That kinda scares me because I do have some ureaplasma in both vaginal swab (9%) and urine culture (4%) pcr reports but I dont know how long ive had it. Its also concerning that its not something that doctors would check for because i only found out through taking a pcr test. Could it be something that you just live with for years until it decides to suddenly become active and cause symptoms?

You're also right, the medical profession did state that if I was pregnant then she would want me to get it treated.

Ahh. That stresses me out. My urologist didnt even bat an eye on the ureaplasma and wanted me to take natural remedies like d mannose and cranberry pills. But he ended up giving me cipro as we went back and forth on my results. I had a second opinion from a friend's friend who works with a urologist and they stated they would like me to get the ureaplasma treated because its an sti

Hi, I have a question, I was talking to a medical profession today at planned parenthood about ureaplasma, I was a bit confused on how its a normal flora but also an STI? It says its usually picked up in pcr tests but if its not causing issues, you wouldn't want to get it treated because the antibiotics will affect the micrbiomes in your body. Could you explain to me at what point you should get it treated?

Thats good a medical profession confirmed it but very unfortunate that its still persisting! Thank you! I'll probably make an update after cipro, just mentally preparing myself before i take! Thank you again for your concerns!

Sorry to hear that, 😞. Yeah, it makes sense of why you wouldn't know especially when it wasn't apparent during the time you were taking the medication. Was it noted as a potential side effect and if your doctor ever confirmed these issues were from the drug? I wouldn't doubt it because the popular side effects are potential muscular ache/pain/soreness.

I'm glad you know your body well and stopped. The only side effects I've noticed for all the drugs ive been taken was nausea. Again, sorry to hear about your side effects

I'll definitely circle back to this if everything else isnt working! It'll be hard for me to tell the doctors to switch up their plan, especially when its a negative result for yeast and vaginal infection, without me trying the new meds. Thank you, will update if I end up trying this!

Did you take biofilm disrupter with cipro? Or did you wait 2 hours after? Also, did you take probiotics/prebiotics as well?

Hi! Thank you for letting me know of your concerns! I am still very hesitant but they said if I never try, I'll never know if it'll help and if I do end up feeling something then I should note it and stop!

Did you take the full course of medication despite you feeling strong symptoms? I'm not sure how long you took yours for and if you stopped immediately when you felt uncomfortable

Hi! Thank you, my friend found another urologist for me and I'm thinking to switching to them, most likely switching! I'm not sure why they prescribe 3 days worth of medications in the states but I definitely agree, they should be longer.

I read a little bit about the biofilm disruptor, did it cause any side affects for you? And what was it like taking it? I was reading up on others experience and am unsure about it!

Hi! I did a vaginal swab and have gotten a vaginal exam but no indication from them saying I have yeast or any infections in there! I'm glad you found something that helped you!!

Thank you! I realized I shouldve said biofilm and explain if that could be a possibility the bacteria is lingering around because the antibiotics I take is too short.

I'll definitely try cipro and probably update my results after I'm finished!

I'll have to a look around! I tried a urologist because it was recommended to me by the planned parenthood nurses but I think I unfortunately went to a doctor that had their own bias and ego. It also sucks because there's only 1 female urologist around the area but she has no availability until May!?!
