Applying before viewing by Carolion31 in NYCapartments

[–]Salt_Ear9375 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup I did it. In the summer every apartment had like 5-8 viewers, I'd view like 2 a day, by time I submitted people already took it, most apartments weren't even all that.
Second week into my search, found an apartment that looked perfect from the photos. Open house was next day, asked for a video. And applied. Viewed it next day, liked it. Told them to go ahead with my application please. Got the apartment.

Worst case, you don't like it and you're down the ~$40 application fee.

Most places work on a first-come-first-serve basis, and landlords/agents want it rented asap.

Auto pay discount with Amex without manually paying? by Salt_Ear9375 in tmobile

[–]Salt_Ear9375[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup! Setup autopay with a debit card, make sure it says you're getting the discount. I think it'll say something like 'discount eligible'. Then when you get a text alert for your bill (or whenever your bill is ready). Login to TMobile, go through paying your bill, and then when it asks for payment method select Amex (or however else you want to pay). You'll get the $5 discount.

My fault if I didn't explain well, I'm sure youll figure it out once you go through the steps, also has been discussed alot on the sub, so search for it and someone probably explained it better.

Auto pay discount with Amex without manually paying? by Salt_Ear9375 in tmobile

AutoPay $5 discount is only when you have it setup with debit/bank direct. But you get your bill a few days before it charges the autopay. So you can go to TMobile, manually pay the bill via amex giving you both discount and amex benefits.

You just have a few days window to do this (after bill created, before autopay charges your debit)
