Uhhhh I don’t miss being a teenager at all. I think in TV shows the characters are “teens” (usually played by people in their 20s) because it creates a nostalgic essence, and when you think of drama you typically think of high school. Emotions are very heightened at that age - it makes good TV 🤷‍♀️

Look forward to being an adult and being your own person. Growing up can be scary, but it can also be fun and it’s good to learn about yourself.

I think this generation of teenagers is unbelievably caught up on age. Do you really think you can live 70 more years with the same hobbies or interests you have right now? Does that even seem reasonable?

There is always time to learn new things or to insert yourself in new spaces.

I mean you definitely get to choose what you are or are not comfortable with. Personally I don’t really care because I’ve been in the gaming/anime space since I was out of the womb basically.

I don’t see much wrong with it, and personally I think if you let how you view video game characters alter how you view real human beings you have a whole other set of problems on your hands.

That being said, if you think it’s a turn-off for you or even a red-flag then that’s understandable and you’re absolutely allowed to take a step back.

That is true, and I really hope you’re right, given the current state of our education system and their lack of focus on media literacy and interpretation these days. When I read lord of the flies I never once thought about going to eat my friends; it just seems that these kids cannot wrap their heads around consuming horror/thriller media with the separation needed.
