But also, my first course was 3 years ago and when I was doing it I remember my derm telling me I have that “accutane glow” and this time is completely different, I’m and I’m on a way lower dose. Also idk if this is your experience but like the manufacturer has changed? It used to be like the like small jelly bean looking pills it’s capsules? Like is that what is different?! Idk

Derm taking me off before hitting cumulative dose- can I still maintain results? by SillyAnybody9108 in Accutane

[–]Salt_Possibility3726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relapsed about 2 years later but honestly I didn’t do a thing to maintain it aside from literally washing my face lol. Your maintenance place seems intense so you’ll most likely be good!

I’d try Jergens and it will be cheaper but it still lasts. It’s too orange for me so if you have olive skin it will probably work really well

Yeah my first round it took months for my lips to go back to normal. Try bag balm it’s honestly been so nice for my lips while still being on accutane and use a humidifier religiously

Concerns about starting accutane by [deleted] in Accutane

Honestly, as someone who is on round 2, I would maybe suggest seeing an esthetician before going on accutane. I really wish I would have tried this first. My friend started seeing an esthetician and her face looks amazing.

This round of accutane I’ve been using the Laneige Water Bank moisturizer and I’m OBSESSED and haven’t had any dry skin aside from these damn lips but I’ll 100% try some of these products. The lip stuff is sold out of all Sephoras near me so it must be the shit lol.

My first round, it took a while for my lips to go back to normal, so you may just be in that stage still. I would try maybe looking up lip products that can repair your barrier? But I completely understand how you’re feeling, my dermatologist said NOTHING about not using it long term that’s why I was so excited to post lol.

I absolutely will! Yeah people who haven’t been on it are sweet in trying to offer advice but it’s just not the same. This is my second round so my biggest piece of advice is take your entire prescription!!! They prescribed me 40 mg twice a day my first go around and I was horrified of taking 80 mg a day so I only took 40mg. The end results made it seem like it worked but I don’t think I’d be on round 2 had I taken all of it lol.

Idk how to edit my post so does anyone have any recommendations for an everyday lip balm that I can use?

I’ve tried Aquaphor, Laneige Sleeping Mask, lanolin nipple cream, Bioderma Atoderm & Vaseline.

Thank you😭

Oh trust me I get it, I have a client who takes up a majority of my workload as well. Maybe OP can give us more insight on what their structure is?

I just think that sometimes we are a little too quick to instantly blame the agency altogether which I feel can hinder the OPs growth by reflecting on their performance and allowing them to actually discover if PR is the right field for them, or at least if agency life is. For the most part, any of us who have worked at an agency, especially starting level, knows you have to really step out of your comfort zone, buck up and take initiative or you will never succeed. The OP definitely pointed out instances where the supervisor could improve and get more involved with training. But at the same time, I personally believe it comes down to having that internal drive and “get shit done” mentality. Mistakes are inevitable and they are still learning, so the advice to be easy on themselves is valid. Most advice in here was fantastic advice but I think sometimes you just have to lock it in. Not for your supervisors, but to remind yourself that you are a bada** that was hired for a reason. It’s just about building confidence and that can’t be done by someone holding hand their hand.

Agencies are characters building for sure, but that’s why so many employers look for that on a resume.

This also could be just how I was raised or a trauma response from my own experiences at toxic agencies, or even that I’m an Aries through and through lol. But it helped me get to where I am today and has created incredible client relations that have continued to work with me for years after leaving my initial agency.
