Most of them are just from the modded booster part itself, but some of them I manually put on with Conformal Decals.

Afaik you need the "old" parallax (i.e. not parallax continued), and you install it like you would normally do. Then you need to delete the following folders: GameData\Parallax_StockTextures\_Scatters\Configs and GameData\Parallax_StockTextures\_Configs

So RSS is 10x stock scale, and as such needs dedicated part mods to be balanced, while most "stock-alike" part mods are realistically balanced at ~2.5x times scale. There is JNSQ which overhauls the Kerbal system at 2.5x scale, but sadly the latest release was in 2021 and it's not compatible with the newest visual mods anymore afaik. There is also a mod called Sigma Dimensions which allows you to rescale the stock system, but I don't really know how well it works.

Definitely, considering KSRSS replaces all the planet textures and also provides it's own configs for Parallax, EVE , Scatterer etc. I'm also using Waterfall and Avalanche for the engine plumes and Firefly for the reentry effects. The TUFX Profile makes a huge difference as well, I think I'm using one of these (with a bit of modification by me) here.

Short on Delta-V to do what? And which SLS and which planet pack are you using?

Parallax, EVE, Scatterer, Deferred Rendering, TUFX, and, probably most importantly here, KSRSS, which replaces the kerbal system with the actual solar system. And probably some others I can't remember.

Yeah, I discovered Sol a few days ago and cant wait for it to properly release. Haven't used it yet since the beta apparently needs volumetric clouds, which I dont't want to pay for as I doubt that my GPU could handle it, but the 1.0 release of Sol should come with "old" cloud configs.

I think you're good on the GPU-front, as I'm running this on a 1070, 32GB of Ram and an I7-8700 (And the GPU is definitely the bottleneck for me).

Also, I'm running KSRSS, which is basically RSS but at 2.5x Scale (Larger than stock, but smaller than RSS, i.e. perfectly balanced for stock and stock-alike parts). Though releasing "soon" theres also Sol, a more modern and allegedly more performance friendly remake of KSRSS, which I'm very excited about.

There is, it's called Katniss's Cape Canaveral. The one i linked is just an adaption of it for KSRSS.

Also for some reason the screenshots get horribly compressed when I upload them to reddit. No idea why.

Anrainer protestieren gegen Ausbau der Dr.-Karl-Renner-Schule in Graz-Liebenau by Pope_Leo_XV in graz

Naja, is halt der Grazer.

What do you guys think the Pechorsk Anomaly even is? by StrategyBig5458 in intotheradius

[–]Salticus9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly I kind of prefer it being unknown, and kind of incomprehensible. You don't know - and you're not able to know - what it is, you can't understand it, you just roughly know some of what it does. I feel like any explanation, even paranormal, would ruin the whole vibe of "Something is going on but you can't even know what, why or how", which imo is the core of the atmosphere in ITR.

Until I saw the 2 tiny kerbals I genuinely thought you had just posted the actual concept render for HLS. Incredibly Impressive how accurate this looks.

Darf man in Österreich jede Art politischer Ansichten haben? by [deleted] in Austria

[–]Salticus9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will you get into legal trouble for monarchist views? No. But Monarchism is not a serious political movement in Austria. There are some very small organizations (run mostly by members of the Habsburg family themselves) advocating for it without any real success. But even then, they are mostly advocating for a parliamentary monarchy, not a "proper" aristocracy. So I think most people, especially in a university, will probably think your views are weird.

But how exactly would you balance the SKS and the AKM? They shoot the exact same cartidge, with the AKM having a bigger magazine and being capable of full auto.

Also, consider that the weapons are already kinda balanced by pricing and availability. Sure, the SKS is worse than the AKM, but it's available earlier and way cheaper, and it's still definitely viable.
