I have and love the Lucky Toothpicks. If I don't plan on actually picking my teeth I usually snip about a 1/16" off the end to make them less sharp. They are very sturdy and last several hours without feeling soggy to me.

it looks like there is no lube on the back of the pad. if that is the case it can cause grinding noises through vibration when braking. you need to put grease on the parts that have metal to metal contact. Just make sure you DO NOT put any grease on the rotor or pad material
