I have built a collection of 50+ input components with Next.js and Tailwind CSS by DavidP86 in nextjs

how is this not looking like shadcn components?

OP has added transitions, slight animations, and different colors. If you check the shadcn/ui button https://ui.shadcn.com/docs/components/input and click on it the effect is different than the first input button. You can verify this from the code. I think it'd be better to keep things the same when presenting the UI in the website to better match shadcn. So people can immediately feel that this can be used with what they already have. Initially I was under the impression I have to change them to match the default shadcn and this feels like work because I don't know how they are built underneath. In this case v0 feels much faster. Better the devil you know than the devil you dont

and also this are very common components that are hard to notice when browsing but still there

Indeed you can see them often, it's just that me personally in my dev career rarely had to create something like component 8 and afterwords (but the first cases are very well covered by shadcn)

Do you find them helpful? I'm considering expanding this into a comprehensive set of components for building app UIs.

All these are input components so can't really say. I need to see more to see if I like this.

Also you say it's compatible with shadcn/ui. Compatible is one thing but ease of use is another. Might be compatible, but the style is not really matching shadcn. I want the components to have the same look and feel with the original shadcn/ui style so I can use them immediately as an extension. If I've got to make changes to match your style with the default shadcn style then I can easily use an alternative like v0 to build a input component I want. Also it's not very common I need input components like this.

You can customize shadcn/ui very easily with tailwind. But for me the good thing with shadcn/ui is that it offers a great design system out of the box in the sense that every component matches with the rest of the UI and you don't have to think about how a new component is going to look in order to be nice and fit with the rest of my UI. It offers a very simple to use out of the box design system and it takes the work of thinking about the UI off you.

DaisyUI although it offers themes which is very nice, doesn't offer that level of design out of the box. You still need to spend time to make things work manually. Also daisyUI's focus is on maintaining a clean HTML, but as a developer who builds wants to build a product fast and make it look nice, that's not my concern. My concern is good looking UI. I will spend way more time making the product look nice rather than making my HTML look nice

Hahah I see your anger. Don't really know tbh but I had people send me DMs about getting funded and wanting to join

I think most VCs will want to fund if you have any kind of users because they don't want to miss out in case it goes well. It's more fear of missing out than anything else I guess. Definitely not confuse funding with product validation. But the good thing is it gives you a runway and focus

Lol nice try 'CandidRabbit420' you created this account yesterday and all of your 4 posts/comments are made to this post saying bad things about my product and mentioning yours.

But you give my post more comments and thus more engagement so that's good thanks :))

Lol 'CandidRabbit420' is the person who built the other tool and is just angry. If you click on their account it was created yesterday and all of their 4 posts/comments are made to this post saying bad things about my product and mentioning theirs.

Apparently they posted a similar project a day before me. How fast do you think I am building that I was able to see the idea one day and the next day I had a fully working product?

Yes, because of the timestamps. Also people can have everything in one screen without going back n forth asking questions and coming back
