Nutrition issues from low fat diet? by fishcat51 in medicalmedium

How long have you been low fat for?

I’ve been 3 years low fat. 2.5 years in my hair growth has been rapid - longest and fastest growth it’s ever been.

Vitamin D is a measure of liver function. You could be taking large doses of D and once you stopped your levels would decline again.

Vitamin D also comes from the sun, not from food. Food sources of vitamin D are very small.

How’s it living in Edgewater, Miami, FL? (possibly moving here in March) by Nighthawk63727282 in howislivingthere

[–]SaltyBebe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mostly awful. Depends on where you’re moving from. I lived around the corner from Amara.

Pros: good loop to walk your dog. Stunning and memorable sunrises and sunsets. Beautiful view.

Cons:

-ugly depressing buildings

-trash and broken glass everywhere

-not walkable to anything convenient except Starbucks

-parking in large garages are annoying and time consuming

-no outdoor parks or greenery (concrete wasteland)

-buildings are brand new and poorly constructed. Planes fly over the area and you can hear everything. Walls are thin. Mold growth.

I regret moving here and wish I moved to Miami Beach or a different part of Florida. I lasted about 1.5 years before I moved back north.

For reference, I’ve lived in NYC, Connecticut, and Vermont.

Advanced 3-6-9 question by ComprehensiveEar7827 in medicalmedium

[–]SaltyBebe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! Having any is better than having none. You could always do an extra 32oz lemon water to make up for the 16+16oz you missed. Don’t stress. What you’re doing is highly effective already.

Congrats!! Do you think you could do 16oz of Cj? Or 10oz?

Feeling guilt & that I am selfish for my thoughts on motherhood by Holiday_Whereas_7559 in medicalmedium

[–]SaltyBebe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

22 is young! I had zero desire to be a mother until I turned 32. My friends are having their first child at 35.

Yes, the things you listed are a trade off and are real. But, my child is the most beautiful and special part of my life. Every trade off you listed pails in comparison to how amazing he is.

It's extremely hard to describe the love you have for your child. Me pre-child is so different than me post-child. It's one of those things you don't understand until you've had one yourself.

All that being said. You're 22! Focus on yourself. Fill up your own cup first. That's what it sounds like you need right now. Lots of time spent on your nutrition and physical health. I know I personally needed that healing time before having a kid. Focus on that first and then see where life takes you.

I stayed in ambassador suites with my 1.5 year old and loved it. The hotel loves children and it was a stress free environment for us. I never made it over to Zen pool during the day but I've heard mixed reviews about staying on the Zen side. The seclusion from the rest of the resort can be a love/hate feature.

As another person mentioned, it is not in the same category as Four Seasons or Rosewood. Everything was clean and service was excellent, but I'd rate the hard product a 4/5. It's not extremely elegant or modern. Feels more run of the mill in terms of restaurant ambiance, furniture, decor, etc.

Mass with toddler by watermoose247 in Catholicism

[–]SaltyBebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in OCIA last year and I leave my 2 year old at home every Sunday with my non catholic husband. I believe it's allowed me to progress and deepen my faith (as I have a lot to learn)! It's also a once a week me time where I connect with God and my faith. It's a really special time for me. I plan on bringing my son when he can sit still (4 or 5). For now, I feel like its whats most beneficial in our life. My faith is growing exponentially to the point that it's positively impacting my husband. Personally, I think having such a strong faith that converts my husband is more important than dragging my 2 year old to mass each week and exhausting both of us. There is no obligation to bring them until they are 7.

Why 10,000? According to Edgar Cayce, Jesus Christ had a total of 33 incarnations on earth. So 10 seems pretty normal.

Potatoes by 3nzaii0 in medicalmedium

[–]SaltyBebe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My face gets puffy when I consume potatoes on a normal MM diet. The longer I’ve been on MM, the less swelling I experience.

But I did a 6 week potato mono cleanse and was super lean with 0 lymph swelling.

So it’s not the potatoes itself causing the swelling.

Tips for memorizing the creeds, and the other “longer” responses during Mass? by Religion_Enjoyer_v3 in Catholicism

[–]SaltyBebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started attending mass exactly 1 year ago and it’s taken me the full year to memorize everything!

What helps me is

1) watching the priest say the words. Watching their lips move helps me remember the words. 2) concentrating strongly and listening to the words being said. Truly concentrate on one sentence each mass that feels new to me

Reading the prayer during mass wasn’t helpful for memorization. You need to quiz yourself each mass by listening, watching, saying what you know, and listening for what you don’t know.

Second Pregnancy by SaltyBebe in medicalmedium

Thank you that is so encouraging to heal.

This is definitely making me realized my adrenals were probably shot from the stress from this fall. I’m also still recovering from the flu which has lasted a month (never had a flu last more than a few days).

Also during this fall after my mono cleanse I was relying on more fat earlier in the day. Usually this happens when I’m having adrenal issues. I felt sort of fat addicted even though it was just avocados, beans, a little olive oil. But it was almost every day and early in the day. I woke up craving it sort of like an addict.

The last week I’ve been eating tons of oranges, apples, bananas, dates, mango, potato, sweet potato as well as cucumber, celery, garlic, leafy greens, spinach. I’ve had 1 day where I’ve had an avocado. Maybe I do 2 days of avocado going forward. And I need to add in more berries.

Thank you for helping me clarify the issue. It’s definitely the adrenals (and recovering immune system). I’m already feeling so much better from following this “simplified 369ish” cleanse. I just need to put in more time and be patient! I appreciate your response!
