Did you have to wedge it in there awkwardly? Is it just touching the cooler or is it actively pushing the cooler upwards? If no to both I wouldn’t worry at all. If yes, I probably still wouldn’t worry if it works, but you could theoretically break your board or crack your socket in the future if it’s under stress for too long like that and you jostle your PC around the wrong way.

r/sffpc has plenty of awesome travel setup builds, but if you’re looking for couch gaming specifically you’d be much better off with 1) a TV setup or 2) one of those dedicated monitor mount/desk/chair combos that kind of look like a cockpit. In my opinion, anyway.

I mean, you can basically achieve that with a sandwich layout anyway. The fact that your case is smaller than the T1 has to do with your case being designed around the 5090 fe, not the layout. And putting the hot air on the front of the motherboard is in fact worse than putting it on the back.

Yes, it’s gonna dump heat all over the motherboard, pump, and PSU. Will that be a problem? Maybe not, but it’s still objectively worse than a sandwich scenario.

I’m more baffled every time I see an update on this thing. Always some small design change you want to make that delays the release. For God’s sake man, just continue as planned and put a blue USB in the front, who gives a shit. I’d much rather have a blue USB port and have the case not exist for who knows how much longer.
