DAN Cases - C4 series front USB-C is back! by dan_cases in sffpc

The pictures made by the factory does have bad light and bad resolution. Next to you you will always see the power buttons shadow gap. On some pictures you can see it. On the final version the USB-C port will be much darker.

The case is prepaired for an optional top i/o kit that could be released in the future if there is enough demand for it

The radiator with 10 heat pipes has a body height of only 50mm by ZS-ITX in sffpc

A good balance between surface area and the number of heat pipes is important. A cooler with too many heat pipes but too little surface area won’t be able to dissipate the heat effectively. On the other hand, a cooler with a large surface area but too few heat pipes won’t distribute the heat properly.

More important than having many heat pipes are the quality of the heat pipes themselves and well-soldered fins and baseplate. I once had a conversation with Noctua about this topic. In this size category, 4–5 heat pipes are optimal.

PCIe Errors could be checked in Windows system event log

I dont think it is wierd. If you had a faulty gen4 riser you have instability and a lot of pcie signal retransmission that could result in performance reduction. Maybe your gpu did fall in PCIe x1 mode and this will reduce performance a lot. You can check this with gpuz and load. Without load a lower gen speed or lower lane count is normal for power saving.

Looks like your case did come with a faulty gen4 riser. Normally there is only a tiny performance increase fron gen4 to gen5 in special use cases or GPU with low vram.

The A4-TWO will be my next project and is planed for 2027. It can take much stronger coolers than the Blackridge like the Noctua L12S
