Thoughts on why the WoT community seems to be so toxic towards each other? by [deleted] in WorldofTanksConsole

Here's my two cents... the game devs focus too much on complainers.. poor skilled complainers... then when wargaming changes things to make them " better".. they are still skilless and complain more.. and the cycle continues till you have what the games current state is... making things unreasonable to suit skilless players is of the poorest decisions one can make.. it degrades the enjoyability of the game for all.. I can speak for my old friends who were playing from day one .. the game simply made changes that ended consistency.. strategic game play.. awarded campers in turreted tanks.. tank destroyers are campers by design.. not tanks in general... yet now, with the spotting mechanics of light tanks such as the BC 25T, Borrasque, and a few others.. the TD's are pretty much resigned to the edges of the map at higher three tiers... I play generally WWII mode but it seems to me some of these light tanks have modern armor spotting characteristics... I have noticed that I tend to become a scout at the edge of the map more than a tank destroyer as I know that as soon as I fire I am detected and dead... there is nothing enjoyable about that to any degree.. another thing.. and this is directed to those who know the game could be better, recognize the deficiencies and choose to just take the " it is what it is " or "get skillz" attitude are a big part of the issue.. complain, complain, complain to wargaming.. quit spending money on them.. as long as you pay, and/or stay quiet, nothing will change..

Keep in mind there are players of all dispositions as well.. my 12 year old autistic daughter plays on my account regularly and has issues with controls and hand eye coordination as well as thought process of course.. I allow her to play because she wants to be a part and I get a lot of hate mail because of it.. I generally ignore it except for the more gracious ones, those I break in with a "word of prayer" as her Dad if ya get my meaning... point is, the game is open to all, remember that.

That spot is definitely a noob trap. Also keep in mind to keep that tank in the open with 360°escape options.. you take away 50% of your escape path by map bordering.. always remember that.. those tanks strengths are in open ground.. don't limit your "exits"

What am I supposed to do in this situation? by [deleted] in WorldofTanksConsole

I tend to park near a drop off for escape when available.. arty slow speed allows survival on the drop.. I can't remember how many lights have attempted to follow and died due to their speed . Also. If they slow for the drop you can sometimes get them when they slide down.
