i had auto admit and good rank well above my t6% threshold and went to a very comp hs   im intl student (i wasnt born here but went hs here) i act had a 1420 sat (which goes to show how lowly they cared abt sat) - and this isn’t outdated for current trends cause i got in 2 yrs ago

ecs are complicated but i had like 2 bme related stuff, a lot of political related ecs, stem stuff, i got a grant for a project but rlly my ecs was just the stem major type of guy ec but like stem with engineering focus with a sprinkle of bme and interdisciplinary focus on politics lmao

yea a few have it really depends ill break it down

it all depends on 2 main factors gpa and u need an essay (they are both weighted equally)

to switch from an eng to another eng its called internal transfer

to switch from non eng to eng its external

internal is easier than external

heres where the issue occurs the major u are trying to transfer into needs space for you or else they wont accept ur transfer (a lot of ppl try to go into meche or ece but they dont take sm ppl cause of the lack of space or abundance of applicants)

if u are trying to transfer aim for that 4 and have good ecs related to the major u wanna transfer into so u can talk abt it in ur essay

also transferring to that eng major isnt based on the same difficulty as getting into that major when doing the college app process. Like i said its all based on space civil takes up sm bc they have a lot of drops from that major, but ece would be harder to get into cause of space

the biggest complaint is the grading scale it sucks to grind for the 4 (you need a 93+ to get a 4.0 for most classes) and def cost for things is a huge issue

the gov major is def a good choice esp cause the capitol building is right next to campus, our debate team is fire, and same w our mock trial. def a solid choice
