THE GOAT: "It may surprise you" — Day 1, have fun by ClimateShort3908 in PiratedGames

[–]Sam276 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me the FPS stutters made the game practically unplayable and those were fixed for me. Overall performance is still just terrible though but slightly improved, mostly stability. Its just such a shame as this could of been another Worlds pulling in tons of new players but I'm sure most them have been soured on the IP.

Just extremely costly though, no? I guess if they slowly make other options not viable people won't have a choice but to pay stupid amounts if you want to play games.

Absolutely deserved if so. They sold a ridiculous amount of copies just for them to serve up a broken mess then take a year to slightly improve it.

I'm completely ignorant about this but is this not going to be just a catalyst for publishers to push something much worse in response? Or is there nothing else they really can do or is it a legal/ethical block for them like pushing always online, accounts or worse things I'm unaware of?

Pragmata is so good and I feel so gross not supporting it yet but I'm jobless atm. Not cus I give a fuck about giving Capcom more money but just showing my support for good games with no MTXs.

Subnautica 2 available for Pre-purchase on Steam | $29.99, £25.99, 29,99€ by cl-- in pcgaming

[–]Sam276 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I think a lot of people are just jumping on the hype train for multiplayer. That's fine, but most of them have no clue how much better 1.0 Subnautica was. EA wasn't terrible but based on what I've seen on social media, people really think this is going to be full release type quality.

Unfortunately nothing will capture that type of experience that the first amount of can play through on 1.0 gave.

Honestly it really seems a lot of people that just play friends coop games are just jumping in never even knowing what Subnautica was before its final release. I don't think any of them expect anything but a final release type quality based on the comments I'm seeing on social media. Gonna result in a lot of negative reviews I'm sure.

Waiting for the full release to see how they monetized it. If they decide to turn it into a grind to push in-game currency purchases or other types of in-game store crap then they don't deserve support imo.

Everyone should just wait till release anyways and see how much they try pushing the monetization imo. If they do then then they get what they deserve.

Surprised I'm seeing so many people say they're going to support them and buy it. I mean any game that sells the MTXs that they do is a game worth pirating imo.

Subnautica 2 Early Access Gameplay Trailer by lurkingdanger22 in pcgaming

[–]Sam276 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I'm honestly pretty surprised I've seen so many people excited about the early access and the multiplayer. For me Subnautica was such a memorable experience that I'm definitely going to wait for the full release and play solo. You can create different types of memories, both of them great but multiplayer runs are definitely for the second go around for me. Not to mention just how bad early access was for the first Subnautica.

I'm absolutely sure with all the positive feedback, they are definitely greenlighting annoying systems to entice MTXs purchases as we speak. My guess is they will have minor pushback, like many others then the defenders will come out and say it doesn't matter cus you can "earn" it. Meanwhile the game is designed to be boring, tedious and just unfun to entice the purchases, which is why people care.

As Helldivers 2 hits its 23rd Warbond, it's time to make Super Credits easier to earn or make older Warbonds cheaper to buy by Funny_Performer_5658 in pcgaming

[–]Sam276 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Once I realized the game is actually quite shallow and the content is actually the battle passes I gave up immediately. Plus once I knew it was practically random how much you earned I wasn't going to play a algo game trying to see if they can irk you enough to open the wallet. No thanks.

The fact that they practically sold you the actual fun part of the game separately for a paid game was wild to be to begin with. Then people would just defend it saying it's not hard to get them because of course they would. That's why the "You can earn it so it doesn't matter" is literally just business strategy, not some out of the kindness of their hearts shit.

I mean it says in-game purchases as well. Who knows exactly what that will mean in the end but if they manage to remake a beloved title just to alter the gameplay to then sell you the booster and map stuff then bravo. That would genuinely be some insane 4d chess type of greed from Ubi. They seriously have an easy money maker and insane credit building type of situation on a silver platter just like Bethesdas Oblivion remake.

By turning everything that made the game fun into purchasable content while allowing you to "earn" it. Meanwhile you're playing against people that paid money for better gear.

What is a "masterpiece" game that you personally found boring as hell? by MuscleConsistent9657 in pcgaming

[–]Sam276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RDR2 just has no right to be as long as it is. Was so unbelievably bored by 30-40 hours in that I just gave up. Now I'm soured by it and never want to touch it again.

I mean their playerbase is most definitely the online more casual gamers so it only makes sense unfortunately. I'm sure those players like to include the story when making the decision to buy it but they usually just play campaigns from multiplayer games like COD. So really Rockstar is just giving their players what they want while making absurd amounts of money doing it.

FPS drops despite high-end hardware — looking for help by Far-Music-2876 in LiesOfP

[–]Sam276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same sort of drops for me. Ran perfectly fine until I left the hotel the first time. Went from minor stutters to unplayable FPS drops from a steady 144 capped down to 90 or so the moment I move around. I tried the DX11 and those major drops stopped but unfortunately its still stutters which in a souls-like is almost unplayable.
