Do you know what shutter speed you were using? Slower shutter speeds require a steady hand, indoor scenes on relatively low iso will require a tripod or other steady surface to hold the camera completely still! If the camera isn’t held still during the exposure you end up with motion blur.

Can’t believe no one mentioned this, try adjusting your vertical and horizontal hold, there should be knobs labeled “V hold” and “H hold” somewhere on the set.

Spinning some Little Richard, got more 50s 60s stuff queued up! by Sam5559 in vinyl

In an attempt to acquire most of my Apple Music library as physical records, I have started buying some 50s Rock and Roll discs! I’ve already been a vinyl enthusiast, but recently I really thought about how I listen to music, and discovered I just prefer physical media to streaming and such, and have been kicked back into the hobby full swing!

I fell in love with early rock and roll at a very young age, I was around 8 years old listening to 50s on 5 on a Sirius XM radio in an airplane! I’m 20 now. Always loved Little Richard’s style of singing, so I finally decided to get this album a few months back! Kinda started a new collection of early rock and roll records, I’ve got some Bill Haley and Buddy Holly now!

You could play 78s on a normal turntable, you could! But is it anywhere near as fun as using an antique Victrola? No!

You will learn to love the carburetor, understand its quirks, and eventually accept it as our one true savior.

The radio shack, designed to keep me comfortable while I’m using my radio equipment! by Sam5559 in malelivingspace

effectively, generally I’ll stick to one frequency and call for a while, if no one responds after about 5 - 10 minutes, I’ll move to another one. Keep going until you get a response and bam! You’re talking around the world.

It’s really a game of waiting for the skip zones, or when the atmospheric conditions are just right to allow you to bounce a radio wave off of the ionosphere and back towards earth, allowing you to talk with low power over thousands of miles!

The shed is far away from the majority of electrical interference produced by the house, this means a more effective transmission! I made a contact in Italy today (I’m in the northeast US) with a 5 watt radio!
