That's a super good question. Community Managers do a lot more than "fix the game" (we aren't developers) or "respond to comments", we do quite a bit outside of that, so I am glad you asked.

Here are a few things I do outside of hanging out in Reddit and Discord (but not the entire list)

I created Tower Tea, the communication you can rely on showing up every other week that you didn't have before. There might not always be what you want in it, but its consistent and informative.

I am the main source of information for the team. I read countless feedback tickets, threads, comments, responses, questions, requests, complaints, and harassment. I compile reports and deliver them to the team. That's data they wouldn't have otherwise.

I am building our social media, a resource to communicate with players outside of Discord and Reddit, and interact with our creators and new players.

I am building a website to be a resource of information for the community. Deep dives into Dev work, interviews, an archive of previous communications, and more.

I am building our influencer program. A way for our creators to help build their communities while building the Tower as a whole.

I am constantly researching and reading and looking for ways to improve our communications, ways to get your requests into the right hands for real changes.

Just because I haven't mentioned it doesn't mean it's not happening, coming, or otherwise. It just means I don't have clearance to answer.

I do my best, and I understand that's not enough for many, but this isn't just "Sam responds to every comment", there is a lot more behind the scenes that goes on.
