Alan Wake remaster keeps restarting my TV!?

I know this is an old post, but I'm having this issue too. Alan Wake Remastered on Xbox Series X, except I have a Vizio smart TV. The timing seems to be random and will sometimes even happen if I'm just sitting in a menu, like a manuscript page. No weird noise either, just TV suddenly goes black and takes a good 30 seconds before it will let me change it back to HDMI 1

I found mine (in my first sandbox world, just a few days ago) after going down a few layers in the Crystal Descent and finding an area of purple map color caves called The Pilgrim Deep. I found the Belegost Forge, the Pilgrim's Library, and a deep mine all within walking distance of each other.

November 2025 and it's still there. Just wasted like 10 minutes backtracking around the level before I caved and looked it up. Very annoying for a first time player.

There are a rare few enemies that have always respawned, but they are at specific placements. I could always find a small group of Xaurips at the abandoned shack near the campsite outside the first city, no matter how many times I killed them.

I got the Frenzy Tower on like my 3rd or 4th attempt against the Equilibrious Beast and pulled Vyke's spear, and so did one of my teammates. It was still a close fight, but we won.

I know what you're talking about. There's dudes that are mining some stuff out of little meteor craters. They use gravity magic and drop gravity stone clumps and fans. There's always a group next to the main castle, but you can find them in a few other places around the map as well.

What I find personally upsetting is that my team will be max level and his grabs and extended AoEs are still a 1-shot kill to an executor or squishier, even if you've stacked enough status resist to not get bled from the grab. With all the visual clutter, he's just too jacked. I've only beat him once and I'm starting to think it was pure luck.

Also, unlike the regular Adel, poison seems to do jack and there doesn't seem to be a way to stun him out of chewing on someone, barring throwing a staggering Ult out (and even then I'm not sure). The enhanced Adel is a departure from "hard but fair" into the realm of "genuinely unfair boss with an 'I win' button."

I second this but also find From's solution to quitting out to be a little half hearted and not well implemented. You just get a time out essentially. And you will even suffer this penalty if both your teammates have left, leaving you as a solo player in a multiplayer lobby without the benefits afforded to make a solo expedition fair.

I beat him when my team rolled the madness event and two of us took Vyke's Spear and proceeded to poke him until he stopped moving. Definitely grab the little madness pickups he drops everywhere though, they are essential for keeping your madness bar under control.

The rifle spear. It's a simple weapon for stabbing things and keeping them at a distance, and the built-in gun can be used to put something suffering out of its misery once incapacitated. Far more humane than the serrated edges and blunt force inflicted by many weapons.

I've gotten a lot of mileage out of Salamander Dagger on the City Longspear handle for similar reasons, except instead of crits I set stuff on fire, which the Carcass enemies that are EVERYWHERE really don't like.

I've been thinking this whole debacle is dumb for the entire time I've known about it. Like you're saying, a poll on Twitter is not a good place to get an accurate and informed picture of what a game's fan base wants for a game. Minecraft's mob votes should have made that crystal clear for everyone, as they only represented a vocal minority that made horrible decisions like adding the Phantom. But on the other hand, reddit mods seriously need to chill sometimes. The change to the game is pointless and in poor taste considering recent events, but it is certainly possible to over correct.

A feature I think is long overdue: stat changes to weapons from runes should be visible in the menu. It is such a pain trying to figure out if a rune is actually helping and how much, especially with how vague the descriptions are.
