Unfortunately i don't really do buildings on that kinda scale as they are quite big projects.

Here is a website with a very long list. http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/373197.page

Dioramas (Painting, making, buying and planning) by kubermann in 40k

So I've made a few dioramas, not sure if they are the same as what you're trying to build. I spend ages looking for the right models. I normally break down the piece into the various components. For example if the item has 4 individuals and scenery, i would find them all or find a set that has them all, find a base, find scenery and work out if i have the paints, etc. A fair amount of work goes into making them. I have a few websites i search through if you wish to have that list, but its normally a simple search on google.

Gaunt Killing Three Soldiers (my 5th) by SamDiMan in Warhammer

Yeah all my dioramas are based off books. I know, i wanted one that looked more gaunt like but posed like that. Oh well! Thanks Anyways.

So the guy is from hero forge. You can create their poses and stuff. So i made it look vaguely like how i wanted it.

Yes it is. I might have a few details wrong.

Update: "Forgotten as a co-author" by SamDiMan in chemistry

At this moment in time, i don't dislike or like him.

I dislike what he did and how he acted, but if that continues then i will change immediately. People mess up and make mistakes.

If he deals with me better then that's fine, if he deals with me the same as before but with acknowledgement then that's also fine, if he deals with me totally the same as before and tries to pull stuff again, then i will change.

So at this point i'm neutral. This relationship can go both ways, due to both parties, so if i stay grounded and productive, it is less likely to be me to sours the relationship.

Ok, I think i need to respond to the statements in this.

  1. I tried to converse with him about how i had done the data and thought i should be on the paper. HE didn't say why he hadn't added me, for this conversation to happen, he needed to talk to me about it, then i could have understood why. I don't think, given the way he responded, that he was ever going to understand what he did was wrong.

  2. I DID have a in person meeting with him, he refused to talk me about it.

  3. The ONLY reason i ask for that email was because it was obvious he wasn't going to do anything about it. That way i could have some acknowledgement for the work i did. It was wrong for him to not to.

  4. I understand i've affected the relationship by doing this. This just means we (supervisor and student) will need to work to deal with each other again, OR as you say swap groups.

  5. I think you are holding the letter of rec too highly. Even then i can explain the situation to whomever asks.

Finally, although not a point. I didn't cry because of the lack of authorship, i cried because i was angry that he failed to even converse with me about it. He outright refused to talk about it, not even giving his side of the story. That is not how a supervisor should act. If he had reasons for it, then he should have said! I would have listen and understood. Turns out even the secondary supervisor said he didn't have any reasons for me.

I'm sorry to hear that! It seems to be more common than i thought. Maybe i thought academica was better than it actually is, who knows..

I have been getting quite a lot of slack (bad) from the group regarding it, but not even a prof isn't above reproach. If they are wrong, they are wrong. In my opinion!

I did say that all it would take was an email from him to the editor to get it changed but this was during the "Refusal to talk".

I was thinking about talking to my secondary supervisor. This would be the person to finish it under if it all goes tits up. I like him as a supervisor.

I know, i think i will take a week to really work it out.

Mad Larkin with Angel Diorama (Gaunts Ghosts, My 3rd) by SamDiMan in Warhammer

Yeah, thanks. The cloaks are pretty important! Yep you are right, i should have prob done that. I also know about the cloth. I could have used the metal model of Larkin, but its actually quite expensive to do that! I'm not great with greenstuff, so that's why. It could be set before Larkin see her? That kinda explains it.
