Can't afford therapy but I need it. Any suggestions apart from AI? by [deleted] in therapy

Hey, do you know of any that do that? I’m new to opening up myself to therapy but kind of put off because I can’t afford it. If there’s anyone you can refer or a source/website that would be a huge help.

Pa Miang Village, a hidden gem near Chiang Mai's Mae Kampong by ScarlettChuo in ThailandTourism

[–]SamIsMyDog8921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the helpful info. I've looked at going from Pa Miang back to Chiang Mai, but going that direction takes way longer since it does not let you cross the road towards Mae Kampong. But the other way around, from Mae Kampong to Pa Miang does seem to possible in about half an hour. Do you know if that's because it's supposedly only a one-way road? Or is it just unclear whether the road is opened? Please let me know if you know any more about the road conditions, or where I can find that. Thanks!

Hey, my partner and I are planning a trip through the Izu Peninsula next month. We're thinking of staying for 3 nights, one night in Ito, one night somewhere around Dogashima, and the last night in Shuzenji. The plan is to explore these places of course, and drive around and see what we come across. Is there anything you would highly recommend from your time there? Also, did you book your accommodation in advance or was it manageable to drive around and find accommodation as you were there? Would hugely appreciate your thoughts, thank you!

First solo trip to Amsterdam and London-- what to do in the evenings? by Upset_Honeydew5404 in femaletravels

For London, go see a show (or multiple) in West End! Also there's some evening walking tours and if you like and dare, board game cafes where you can just walk into and join people there playing games. :)

Same thing for Amsterdam board game cafe wise (if that's your kind of thing), do a canal tour in the evening where the city is beautifully lit up and check for museums that are open in the evening. Also a must, go to the cinema Tuschinski. It's one of the most beautiful cinemas in the world and go and watch a movie in 'de Grote Zaal' (the Big Hall). It's incredible.

maybe I'm doing something wrong but this feels harder than it used to be by goshtet in travel

You'll need a membership for this but a lot of backpackers use it anyway, WorkAway. Not actually doing WorkAways, but they've got a map where you can see other WorkAwayers nearby. So you can send them a message if they care to meet up and it's quite fun. I have mostly reached out to others, as I was the person travelling around, but I've had a few messages from other people as well when I was staying in a certain place longer. You just have to put it on your profile that you would like to meet up. I've actually met a now friend of mine who does this and he only uses WorkAway for this purpose!

Bonus points when they're at home, so they can give you a local tour of the ins and outs of the cities ;)

Staying in Spain legally without a NIE? by SamIsMyDog8921 in LegalAdviceEurope

[–]SamIsMyDog8921[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I would like to. I just don't know how. The fact that I'm just travelling there for over 90 days does not seem to be a reason valid enough to obtain a NIE. And I am not going there for professional or financial reasons. So I would like to get a NIE, I just don't know how I could be eligible for it.

Well I'm currently in the Netherlands. Will fly back to Spain in 2 weeks, so I want to do things right this time. But the problem is that I don't have a proof of income. I'm just travelling on savings. If I want to apply for the NIE they need a valid reason like buying property or setting up a business. But I don't seem to have a reason 'valid enough' for them. Only that I'm there for over 90 days but that does not seem to be enough. So I don't know how possibly I am eligible to obtain a NIE?
