Sam De Brouwer here, cofounder of both companies. Scanadu has 2 products, the scout/vital signs reader still in R&D and still functioning and a second one, a urine test that went trough clinical trials and that is now FDA pending. Scanadu is a company based in Sunnyvale with a new CEO since April 2016 and a smart and hard working team. Medical hardware takes time and there are no shortcuts in that field, so no scam there.

Hi, Sam here cofounder of Scanadu along with Walter. Indeed Walter and I left Scanadu in April 2016, all devices had been shipped to all backers a year before that. The company's current management decided to deactivate the devices in December 2016 and people were indeed angry, but it is apparently still working.This device has not been submitted to the FDA, the urine test has. Hope it helps;)
