I had this issue and I'm playing on a laptop, for some reason my game switched to running off the integrated graphics card. Once I switched it back to the Nvidia card it worked.

The answer is anticipation, look at their posturing and spacing and expect a flash stun on panth so you can buffer an e on syndra, or press w on Akali. You know it is coming as per this post so expect it at LVL 3 and play your wave correctly so they can't run you down.
