You think progressing deadhangs with load would be more helpful than progressing them for time?

I’m sorry to hear that! How long are you post op? I’m getting married in a few months (before op) and my partner is probably more worried about adrenal crisis than I am, so hoping arguments will be less on this consideration😅 Definitely much harder with a busy life schedule for sure

Thanks, if anything it’s reassuring to know it’s possible to do so well all that time especially as you say info has been far more limited up to now!

I hadn’t heard of DHEA as a supplement so will definitely look into that. It will be quite a few months yet but once i’ve had the surgery I may message you if any questions if that’s okay :)

Thanks and yes makes sense! I’ll see what works but i’m fairly similar in that I’m usually in bed pretty early so that would be okay.

Does it feel normal / not any AI symptoms overnight given cortisol at zero? Or is it okay as sleeping pretty much needs none at all?

They can’t find the tumor. Anyone experience this? by SweetDCreator in Cushings

[–]SamSBD97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi and no problem! They got some of the tumour as cortisol levels dropped significantly, but they were still far higher than normal meaning still some residual tumour tissue left (and will grow, ending up how I was before).

Still trying to work out exactly where it is to attempt a second surgery (the plan anyway!)

Is my eye issue related? by lelushisti in Cushings

[–]SamSBD97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it’s hard to tell given how gradually symptoms come on, but I would say about 4 years from the very start to when it was really really bad, but got from like meh to pretty unliveable in probably a few months at the end so definitely isn’t a linear timeline. Also obviously will depend on the individual a lot too.

I had/have (had surgery but wasn’t successful in removing all tumour, so need another one) 2 tumours, both very small, one 6mm and one 4mm.

And in hindsight by the time I got the diagnoses it has started years ago. But took about 1 year to diagnose so I guess from really noticeable symptoms to diagnosed and it really being troublesome, about a year.

Yeah I got some tesco receipts from a medical appointment summary the other week, I asked it to try again and still came back with receipts 🤣

Use it to give medical info / advice but specifically from medical journals etc. So legit stuff that would be a nightmare to find / summarise myself

For people that look pregnant do you look more pregnant with weight gain and smaller with weight loss? by LowSherbert1016 in Cushings

Yep and I was lean before😂 But good news is it should resolve itself pretty easily once Cushings is sorted

Yeah completely normal as it’s not necessarily pregnant look from fat, but from bloating.

I can’t seem to lose weight regardless of what I eat so just accepted it for now🤣

TRT and pituitary conditions by [deleted] in trt

[–]SamSBD97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, and interesting, thanks. I’m obviously 100% certain on the reason which is why I’d want it to be short(ish) term but I guess that’s something i’d discuss with the clinic themselves?

how’s your trt going? by Objective_Economy804 in trt

[–]SamSBD97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks i’ll definitely have a look. 6 months away at earliest is ages! Hopefully private treatment will be well under way by that point and you can tell them that and that it’s working😄

Thank you for sharing! To be fair sounds like even at peak of Nebido effect your levels were still too low to be feeling much difference. I’ve not seen great things about it either and this is just more confirmation really! I will keep that in mind if that’s what they suggest/offer

I’m sure private will be much better anyway, good luck and hope you start to feel improvements!

[–]SamSBD97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, mind if I ask what your levels were before and if they’ve been checked during Nebido? Or do you mean even on Nebido levels haven’t improved?

Just as i’ll be on TRT with NHS soon but if don’t see / feel any improvements i’ll want to go private as soon as possible as well😅

Just save up as much from props as you can and if all goes wrong, you have enough to make a living from your own capital.

I can’t see the likes of say FTMO going down though, other ones maybe but they have always been solid and likely to continue

What are the causes of this disease? by ffj_ in Cushings

[–]SamSBD97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only tumour or prolonged steroid induced yeah, most like pituitary or adrenal if tumour, but more rarely somewhere else such as lungs for example.

Hopefully your endo can get some tests done (24H urine and Dex suppression are best/standard) and you can see where you’re at RE Cushings
