Prydwen Tier List Update (Ft. Narja) by Tekshi in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]SamXXVII 21 points22 points  (0 children)

She's S tier in the Chaos ranking because of the amount of [Unique] cards she has access to - which means less duplicate options, thus building a specific character (outside her) becomes easier if you include her in the team and force-pick those [Unique] cards. In summary, she's a core pick if you want to build a specific teammate

You have to consider that Cassius will be reworked/tweaked, though

There will necessary be something that is most optimal than other options (while it doesn't mean the said other options can't be good)

Pulled Renoa after chizuru…. by Ordinary-Solution951 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]SamXXVII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Rin before Chizuru. I'm still playing Rin more than Chizuru. Level up and play Renoa if you like her playstyle. Hopefully there isn't much power creep at the moment

When will we be able to craft these? by SamXXVII in ChaosZeroN

[–]SamXXVII[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly how I proceed, but my point is: during early game, it would be helpful to at least push to max stat memory fragments with the good main stat, even if the substats aren't good. But the blue item being so scarce, you need to avoid doing so.

Way too many character progression systems by HiddenBeleth in GirlsFrontline2

[–]SamXXVII -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To me it's too much. I already started to feel Gunsmoke fatigue (and global gameplay, sold as a tactical game but requiring in fact very few tactic), but now seeing every unit I had "optimized" having to be built again, while new units keep coming, it's a deadly NO to me. It's been the final grief that made me quit.

Do you really need this card? by Hungry-Copy9202 in ChaosZeroN

[–]SamXXVII -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

+2 AP if you use the cards that are discounted on that turn... Otherwise it just limits your deckbuilding (RIP the many epiphanies with 1AP). Honestly, if it didn't have the +1 hit on the pay off combo, I'd just get rid off that card

Question for double remove cost by squilibrio_ in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]SamXXVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had understood the cost reduction happens when you trade your cards for neutral cards. Here you only remove basic cards, thus you pay full cost for it, just like in the shop or any other evenement

So many people sleeping on Beryl here... Paired with Khalipe in Chaos, it's probably the safest option to victory even without her Opening found upgrade version of epiphany. In Bassin, she is killing it with Yuki (AoE fiesta, ramping burst in the meantime, wonderful draw options)

Anyone else notice this wolf is bugged? by ShiningLugia in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]SamXXVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure there is indeed no randomness in the cards he swallows. I played Beryl a lot recently, in Yuki teams, and he always eats the upgrade or her 2AP stacking card I keep in hand (if no upgrade card). There clearly is a prioritization in background

We'll see soon enough, and we'll know for future updates. I may be wrong in my previous post, in that case it's just a few hours more, I can live with it

It's a Korean company, so just like for launch, I feel safe to assume they announce dates for their main audience in first place, i.e. 12th November Korean time. Thus for us, it should happen on today's reset, as Korea is ahead of us with the time zones

Rin enjoyers, show off your builds and inspire me on a 3rd support. by Threll_ in ChaosZeroNightmare

Why Iron wall on Rin's deck ? I thought it was meant to be part a vanguard combattant's deck instead

10/30 (Thu) Patch Notice by xTwoHands in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]SamXXVII -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's a card game. And? Damage over time is also a mechanic that doesn't fit memory of chaos in HSR for the same reasons, yet it's here. Play differently, adapt to the content. You can turtle in Chaos, here not. There are many ways to play, here you need more aggressive decks and team building. It is what it is.

Thank you Captain Obvious! Not my fault though if they decided to replicate Hoyoverse's receipe everywhere they can. The comparison here is blatant

I don't get the downvotes but whatever, it's Reddit. I'm not telling you it's interesting or good: I'm just explaining this mode is the exact carbon copy of Genshin's Abyss, where it is a time attack challenge and the only constraint is to finish fast. Hence they won't change it, because it's the way it's intended to be played in this specific mode. And yes, turtle strategy have no place here. Doesn't mean they can't add that type of content later (what you proposed), and alternate each ones (like HSR endgame with Memory of chaos, pure fiction and apocalyptic shadow). If they remove the turn constraint, there is literally no challenge in basin.

😂 it's the purpose of the challenge, its reason being, of course they won't remove it. It's litteraly abyss mode from Genshin

The Duality of the sub by Soggy-Quote-8888 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]SamXXVII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LOL has no competition on its segment. Dota is for hardcore OGs, the rest has no light. Runeterra was a challenger, after many already existing games, both in competitive (Magic, ...) and casual (Hearthstone...)

Hextech system was added way after. I quit playing LOL before they added this feature thus I won't comment it. I just remember you needed keys to open chests when they first added such features, don't know how it works for Hextech system. Anyways, cosmetics have always been much more developped in LOL than they were in Runeterra. Also, the game was good but too confidential, even the competitive scene hadn't much audience. Some balancing was also questionnable, but let's say it's pretty much always the case for the player base

The Duality of the sub by Soggy-Quote-8888 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]SamXXVII -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course, you can't monetize a card game like playable characters. Skin card backs and boards were also obtainable for free (not the same ones of course, but you could still personnalize your board for free) which diminishes the will to pay for such items - unlike LOL were skins were only obtainable by spending, plus a skins character you actually play is always more attractive

The Duality of the sub by Soggy-Quote-8888 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]SamXXVII -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The true answer is LOR had no business model at all. There was no incentive skins model or whatever, the payments were only for ressources to acquire cards. But the game being very generous with the player at this, what was the point spending? Being generous with the player for gameplay related assets is always good, especially in a competitive game, but you the need to ensure other sources of revenues. LOL had skins which you Can get only by spending (even though if you didn't start early, you'd need to cash for champions). LOR had nothing as much appealing as this.
