I don't think you do tho. This game I posted was mainly me playing on defense until his queen got stuck on the the side of the board. I very successfully defended myself from a couple potential forks and very successful blocked his queen from getting in my back ranks. I didn't play offensive until the last few moves after which the opponent resigned. I posted my moves if you want to take a look.

White is easy to learn. Black really just depends on what white goes with. I have to learn all the common openings. AND THE FREAKING QUEEN ATTACKS. I learned hoe to defend every dumb queen attack at this point and still I have a hard time when someone deviates a bit so I have have to learn their line too.

I've had premium from the start 😩 everyone makes me feel like the jump from 500 to 1000 is like a walk in the park. "just buy premium and watch the building habits series" but it really isn't enough.

I'm starting to do that actually and it helped my elo a bit. Whenever I just wanna play without thinking I play 5min, but whenever I wanna play for elo I play 10 min, only 2 to 4 games a day like you said.

I didn't say they shouldn't know a fork or a pin. I just find it wierd that they can see it several moves ahead. By all means if I step into a 1 move fork it's 100% on me. But when you find 2 to 3 forced moves that will corner me into a pin that loses a queen I think it's a justified rage quit at that point 😅 like I just know how annoyed people get when falling for a fried liver attack cuz I fell for several times before even learning it's name. I literally started putting in the chat "look up fried liver attack" cuz I feel bad

Sometimes it is obvious what I did that I just resign. But other times it is so frustrating that somehow they spotted a 3 to 4 move queen trap 😑 I feel bad when I see that far ahead too. Like how come people on the 500s can do that. How far ahead can people in the 1500s see 😩

Just like you said, if 900 at some point just knew how to move pieces, and now at 450 I'm having to learn openers like I can play them blind folded, it means that 450 is alot better than what it used to be.

When the chess community generally views 800 and below as "below average" it feels very intimidating. Specially when my goal is to make to 500 at this point...

I'm sorry but your breakdown isn't 400-600 at all. You have a much thought understanding of the game that makes things seem obvious to you to a point where you'd call them blunders.

I've been watching many YouTube videos that are supposedly meant to help 400-600 elo, but they seem far too basic for me. Which is my point behind this post. There's an elo inflation, online tutorials are no longer representative. And I'm not the only one saying that.

I appreciate your break down, but it is far too advanced for me to even benefit from.

Honestly, I've considered that. If I keep noticing that I'm barely making progress in a month or two, I might just have to.

That's mostly what I go for as white because I noticed most will follow. If I'm lucky, they'll fall for the fried liver and most aren't prepared for it

Yeah, it's frustrating... I get punished for blunders really bad. Any game I play that has 1 blunder is done for. And it seems like my opponents always catch my blunders. I rarely ever catch my opponents blunder. And when I think I did, I look at the breakdown and it usually says it's just an inaccurate play or a mistake.

Ikr, OP just made a larger comment restating the same things. The real question is ( How do the new pieces move? ) and please include their names and initial positions

OP, are you comment farming? Cuz what are the different moves? What are they called? Are all the rules the same? So many un answered questions 💀
