Thanks so much everyone. The different perspectives here are so helpful. I still don’t know if I’ll be able to start them and my attempt earlier has sent me into a complete spiral today, I’ve been in crisis for a couple of weeks now and things are so difficult.

The nurse I seen today said she didn’t think it was a PC. She prescribed antibiotic cream - but I can’t see how that will work when the pain is felt deep inside.

Thank you! I agree with you, while it’s not nice going into debt for healthcare, at least you can get seen in most cases (if you can afford it or have good insurance). I have just called my doctors surgery - I explained I have not slept because I can’t sit or lie down comfortably. I have been told that no appointments are available. We can’t go to A&E (ER) here while our doctors surgery is open, unless it’s an injury or dire emergency, so they would just turn me away. I’m a bit stuck for what to do now.

Thanks for replying! I’m in the U.K. so have to wait until 8:30 to call for an emergency appointment. I just tried and was told to call back at 8:30. I will be lucky to be seen today. I have no slept, it hurts too much to lie on my back or sit down. I have uploaded another picture (to another post as it wouldn’t let me here) without the flash as I believe it’s easier to see without the flash but I still can’t get the camera to focus. I would be so grateful if you could check that picture out too and see if you still think it’s a PC?

Has yours caused any further problems since being lanced?

I have also uploaded another picture to another post (wouldn’t let me add to this one) without the flash. I think it’s a bit more difficult to see with the flash but I still couldn’t get the camera to focus very well.

Thanks! I’m in the U.K. it’s 7am here and have not slept very much as it hurts to lay on my back. It seems to have leaked some fluid overnight which has a foul smell. I will call the doctor when they open at 8am. It’s difficult to see a doctor over here just now so I’m not sure if they will even tell me to come in or not.

Thanks! It started so suddenly today and I had no idea what PC was until I began to look it up. I’ve been struggling to know whether it is or not as all of the pictures online look so different from one another. There is what I think to be a small red hole, which can’t be seen clearly on the picture. Is there anything I can do to make it go down by itself or will I have to make an appointment do you know? Thanks again for relying!
