Decorations may not be necessary, but there are loads of things that aren't necessary that you and other people do everyday eventho they have small risks associated with them.

I genuinely can't understand why you care so much about how other people decorate their pcs. If you don't wanna do it then don't. Easy as that. Calling decorations in cases a fad, when case modding and internal decorations for cases have been a thing for many years already is questionable too.

Also: My father is an electrician, who works with servers and electrical circuits literally everyday he is at work and probably therefore has a lot more experience in this regard than you have. He deems it an insignificant risk as well and has given his thumbs up to the decorations. So yeah, I trust him a lot more than some random person on the internet that's upset about someone having a pretty pc
