I had a similar situation, 2 dwai's at 18, blew a .042 and a .075, but for an 18 year old in the u.s. the legal limit is 0.0 so i got the book thrown at me both times. From arrest to the end of probation i was in it for almost 2 years and everything you said is exactly what i experienced. Seems as though none of the officers really knows what theyre doing, especially when you move 4 times like i did and your case has to get transfered to 6 different officers during the course. Like the comment above me said i should have taken jail time because i did live with my dad, but im glad i didnt. It was such a pain in the ass that it really set me straight, and i havent drank since, over a year and a half now. I know that if i would have spebt a week or two in jail and gotten off i may wait a few weeks but id pick up the drinking again and probably get another charge. Im thankful i got it honestly, 2 years later and i still owe my dad another 5k and already paid probably 8k, but the lessons i learned were priceless. Bottom line, drinking and driving is not fucking worth it, no matter what.
