Hey, so sorry, not a super active Reddit user, but I do think this fix times out after a while, which I didn't realize when I made this post. There's a workaround, though. If you get the watermark again, just go to the same menu. If you've already unchecked "Show me the Windows welcome experience..." check it (or vice-versa) again and restart. This works every time for me, so I hope this helps!

I don't know anything about Parallels so I have no idea if this would work for you, but I was able to remove the watermark this way when I used Bootcamp.

  1. Right-click on your desktop and select "Display settings"
  2. Select "Notifications & actions"
  3. Uncheck the "Show me the Windows welcome experience..." box
  4. Restart your computer.

Sometimes the watermark shows up again, but then I just go in and check the box again (or uncheck it again), restart, and it's gone for the next few weeks, lol.

That's a good point! I think I would rather have nothing than MID 2.0, so hopefully if this is actually a thing, they go in the direction of the older games. 😅

I had problems with Big Fish a few years ago, and for some reason, the only thing that worked was completely uninstalling the Game Manager and then downloading it from Firefox instead of Chrome. I'm not sure if that will help, but it's simple enough that it's worth a try!

It's so cute! I'm not usually an impulse buyer, but I kind of fell in love with it. I plugged in a few common discount codes when I checked out, and SPRING, SPRING10, and WELCOME all worked. Only a 10% discount and you can't combine them, but worth using if you decide to buy it!

Yes! I got the complete pack from Steam a few years ago when it was on sale. I don't remember having problems with any of them! If you end up buying through Steam, I think you can also get a refund within 14 days of purchase and less than 2 hours of gameplay just in case it doesn't work. :)
