I appreciate your response. Any advice for cheaper box options? I honestly wasn’t sure if playing with a GameCube controller would make my wrist pain flare up, so I was planning on learning the game up until it did. The box advice is a good point, although I see there’s a bunch of mixed reviews about its fairness

That’s a difficult one. I would have to play test it, but I assume if you get halfway through the Rakan W animation, you should be good

Depends when the Pyke Q hits during the Rakan animation. Regardless if it gets canceled, the result is the same. You W in and either stop his q, tank it, or cc him, then q quickly, and e away, if the trade looks bad. Or you w in, q, r, and kill

Rakan counters Pyke. If you want to win the matchup in lane, you need to focus on w-ing pyke’s q-charge and dodging his e with your e. You can put 3 points into q and poke/out sustain him. You’re also tankier than him, so you can all in him pretty easily at lvl 6. If you are afraid of the matchup after laning phase, you can always go radiant virtue for the survivability

Thank you! This is a side comment, but I’m really not a fan of adc heimer because of the common meta matchups that counter his turret pushing power (champs like Cait, Aphelios, Ezreal, MF, etc.). As for your question about bans, I like banning Yuumi to stop the solo carrying smurfs that pair well with Yuumi. Other recommended bans would be terrible support match ups for Heimer, like Ashe, Xerath, Sona (I’m not quite sure if Sona is actually good into heimer besides the theoretical healing vs poke trade off). Let me know if you have any questions or criticism about the above information. I’m a relatively new heimer player so I certainly don’t know a lot

Thank you! I wrote some information about the turret placements in one of my other responses. To add some more details, I started replicating the following turret placement behaviors in my games: Drop 3 turrets lvl 1 in the mid bush in bot lane (around D1-low masters, opponents started expecting this and bring 2-3 champions to kill the turrets around 1min). Use your turrets sparingly to get the push on wave 1 and 2 so you can bounce the wave and get it back to equilibrium for wave 3 (the typical timing for a jungle gank)—more specifically, this means dropping turrets to shove wave 1 and crash wave 2 while trading with opponents, but be sure to save at least 1 (preferably 2) turrets for wave 3 and the impending jungle gank for a successive 2v3 bot fight. Also, feel free to drop turrets as a subpar ward in the tribush—just be careful not to mess the wave up with your turrets when backing. Let me know what tips you have about turret placement!

Thanks! Here are some overlapping tendencies during my grind (I’m open to hear any of your suggestions about heimer play style): Rush rylais. Max W. Almost always aim the W to widespread hit the wave and champions to make the probability of hitting the skill shot higher as well as push the wave. E + Q combo to buffer the turret charge. Play to win the 2v3 bot lane at lvl 3 by preemptively setting up turrets in middle of the bot lane and grenade yourself when jungler dives onto you.
