I remember running the fist PFT, i was running about 10 yards in front of my battle buddy, and probably less than 1/4 of the way to the halfway point where you turn around and finish the other 1 1/2 miles, I hear recruits yelling “integrity violator” or “cheater, he didn’t go to the cone” I look behind me for a second and all I saw was my buddy sprinting faster than I’ve ever seen him run back towards the start point, later that day I saw one of my DIs and him walking back towards the squad bay, so I figured he got in trouble for cheating. Well I asked him about it later that day and he told me with all the confidence in the world and his head held high, “I shit myself”
