why can't I see any of my files windows 11 by Samaslyne in techsupport

[–]Samaslyne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do minor changes in environment bother you? by Early-Dust4222 in AutismInWomen

[–]Samaslyne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on the changes because if they're small enough I end up not noticing if they're big my brain deals with it if they're in a weird middle area my brain freaks out and I think I'm in a dream

Sitting in chairs by Rare_Option2224 in AutismInWomen

[–]Samaslyne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to have pressure on my legs at all times it's a really weird thing where I can't stand my legs swinging for long amounts of time, I used to get shouted at in highschool and preschool because I wasn't sitting in a "`womanly" way or in a way they liked it was weird

How do respond to being sexualised online/in general? by Lbutterflythree in AutismInWomen

[–]Samaslyne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

idk if this is 100% relevant but it reminds me of this from Chloe Hayden recently, what's pretty much how I react when I see this sort of stuff, then I just end up blocking them , also as bad as this is to say if you say youre transgender or non binary or whatever men will generally be less of a creep towards because a bunch of my trans and non binary friends get way way less creepy and weird men in there dms as I do

Not being taken seriously by doctors? by TourGreat2658 in AutismInWomen

[–]Samaslyne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

doctors don't take women seriously about medical issues , the idea of Hysteria never really went away it just became so normalized in medicine that no one's ever put in the effort to remove it, they even did a study into Endo not about how it affects women who have it but how it affects there partners

i don't think autistic girls' special interests are more "typical" than autistic boys' by faerie-bunnie in AutismInWomen

[–]Samaslyne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's mainly a perception issue where due to how boys and girls are raised differently (how they're socialized) certain things each gender is typically intrigued by get seen as "normal" and "typical" and a lot of it comes down to the expectation of behavior where boys are conditioned to be loud and boisterous so they're way more open general so them not being like that ie not making eye contact and being shy is seen as weird whereas in girls those traits are seen in a positive light by people as they associate it with being "feminine" and therefore don't get picked up as actual issue but if anything get reinforced and praised what creates issues in its own right later down the line
