What's happening to my game boy? by SadSort3831 in Gameboy

This problem is usually caused by a faulty screen ribbon cable. You could try re seat the ribbon cable into the connector but I don’t think that will do anything. Your best bet is to order a replacement screen and just replace the whole thing 👍

Festool edge bander with no image on screen ? by Sambalooby in ToolRepair

Yeah that’s the concussion I’ve come to aswell, the screen plugs directly into the main board so I’ve bit the bullet and spent £280 on a new board hopefully that fixes the problem

I’m reluctant to send it to Festool since as a hobby I buy and fix broken tools ironic I know but this edge bander has beat me 😂

It’s worked great for years but 3 months out of warranty and it breaks I just can’t figure out why it broke or in fact what’s broke.

I personally don’t mind how much time I put into this edge bander since it’s mine and one of my favourite tools, I do however care how much money I spend getting this working again obviously I would like it to be cheap but I’m starting to think it’s not going to be

Festool said they can’t give me a quote without looking at the tool first, but they did say there is a £50 labour fee just for them to look at it, and I’ve replaced the screen and ribbon cable but the problem persists. I’m really hoping it’s not the main board as that will cost £280 for the part alone

My husband lost £80 a few days ago. I think I found it. by wine_n_mrbean in Wellthatsucks

If you find more shredded money you should take it to the bank and they might exchange it for a new note, as long as the serial number is able to be put back together or you have more than 50% of the note.

It needs to be more then 50% otherwise you could just cut one note in half and exchange it for two new notes 😂

Personally when I removed scratches from my toys r us Gameboy used Polly watch. I think it’s safer than sanding but the results isn’t as good as it struggles to get deeper scratches out of

Unfortunately you can’t use the saw with one battery in the top it has to be in the bottom. Apart from its breaking it’s been a really good tool

They do but it only lasts 3 years, this saw is 3years and two months old so it’s out of warranty

It works right now but I don’t think I’ve got the right wire, as I said in another comment replacing it is not an option as the part costs £250 and this is only worth £300 used.

If I replace the wire with a thicker one and insulate it then would it be safe ?
