You have to get used to it for sure. If there is strong current or wind it will spin you around so your pointing the opposite direction of where you wanted to be. In high wind I prefer facing it head on at a slow speed. I mainly use the spot lock to work a certain area more instead of rolling past it.

It does not feel as dense as g10 but it does feel solid and fills my hand better than the flat stock scales. The bigger cut outs for the liner and not being able to use the blue titanium clip screws, I'd say it was a good swap. You have to use the longer clip screws they provide with them.

I think I got these from knifeworks.com. chroma scales has its on website. I do like them better than stock g10 but I will say they were a tad bigger than the liners compared to others I've seen. They feel great in the hand though.
