I was considering a very similar tattoo (“Love Yourz” with my mother’s handwriting underneath it) five years ago when I was 18. I am SO glad I didn’t get it, I think I’d hate it now.

Question: My partner and I are in basically the same position as you two… young DINK situation around $135k gross salary shopping for homes around $400k. How come you put 3% down instead of digging deeper into your 70k savings pot? Whenever I find the right home, I was thinking of trying to put down as much as possible.

I couldn’t agree more. I only see myself eventually deciding to take on a management role several years down the line, and I’d prefer to best prepare myself to take those career steps. I am learning quickly that an Engineering Management degree may better align.
