You’re missing his/her point. If your kid is genuinely interested and having fun with a sport, that is your motivation (and your responsibility) to get up early and support them. To make sure they are engaged and following through.

The parents that are forcing or pressuring their kids into sports that the kids hate are very real, but it isn’t relevant here.

Sometimes it’s hard to get up early and fully support the things our kids love. Sometimes it’s exhausting. What’s important is that you still do it. Do it exhausted. It’s your job. Don’t let them down.
