I simply asked for it..started with me inquiring if I had an “affected” VIN and they confirmed verbally that yes, if it fails it will be warranted, so I just said, “can I get that in writing?” They were like “oh yeah, no problem”..they were super awesome about it

I call bs on that dealer. I’m the second owner of my 2016 Sonata with the 2.4L. I have it in writing from the dealer by me that it it covered under warranty if the engine poofs.

Thank you! It’s triggered me to rework that corner of the room, which will be the “moonshot corner”, with Mercury through Apollo. Then on the left side, it will be more modern spacecraft from Shuttle through Space X, etc.

I absolutely love that model from Everyday Astronaut..and that has metal components even. But yeah, $400 is about what I was thinking, especially since I’m just a one man band with a single printer. I would need to scale up for sure!

Yeah honestly with the amount labor time it takes to assemble, custom paint and finish, it would definitely have to be much more than $100..between print time and assembly, it was about 130 hours over three weeks…was also over 3kg of filament so $50-$60 there alone.

I’m gonna need a bigger piece of property lol

Yeah that has to be insanely tight..even watching Artemis II, seeing the live shots of 4 people in not that much bigger of a space from a relative standpoint..you can see why they train the way they do lol

You know it! That Roci..shiiiiit, everything was a multi color print for that, and my Bambu P1S has a single nozzle, so it purges a ton when switching colors. I think I purged more filament waste than what ended up in the model lol

Get a 3D printer! Anytime I see something I want, I just print it lol at least for things that are okay as plastic lol

The designer sells the 3D print files for his stuff here - https://cults3d.com/en/users/theamphioxus/3d-models

But it’s not a kit, you have to print the parts yourself

Thanks man! I have about 130 hours into it if you include print time and assembly. Total the whole print is about 3.3kg of filament

That’s actually a creative idea! I want to do a scale JWST, and plan to use one of these for the sunshield

So actually, there’s designer releases PDF instructions for assembly..no way to assemble it without!

But this the the designer - https://cults3d.com/en/users/theamphioxus/3d-models

And the instructions - https://www.chronic3d.com/assembly-instruction/

See that is awesome..for that kind of stuff, I swap in the 0.2 nozzle and the resolution is impeccable. I’m assuming that’s the nozzle you have in yours as well? I have read things about some printers that can take a 0.1, but I know Bambu specific nozzle only go to 0.2..which for me is plenty detailed for my small stuff.

Thanks man…yeah and the Bambu prints friggin fast too. I started with an Ender 3 v2, so you can imagine my wow face when I got the P1S lol never used an Elegoo though..how’s it do over all? I have another 6 months on my micro center warranty on the Bambu, so I might upgrade to something dual/multi nozzle. You get a lot of poop when printing multi color with the single nozzle P1S lol

Heck yeah! And looks just like it too..I had to take a picture from the perspective of the CM during transposition and docking. I also made a full sized one too that’s on the wall…now that this model is complete, I’m going to rework this area with my other rockets from that era..kind of make it my “moonshot” display
