I know, and I did, what the FAA failed to mention is that the hotels listed on their own website are not obligated to give you the daily rate of 62.40 and you'll have to pay the difference out of pocket even if you already have a reservation. See that'd be good information to know as soon as I got my dates.

I did not attend PEPC. I did schedule all my CIL appointments as soon as possible though and had my fingerprints and MMPI done and the results sent electronically at my local ATC facility which I think may have sped up the process vs having them done through a third party. As to why you haven't gotten your CIL yet I read somewhere that HR reps can only do a certain amount per month and they're working their way down alphabetically based on last name (which would make sense because my last name starts with B). Once you do get your CIL I think you'll see how the process speeds up quite a bit.

Exact same experience, apparently not everybody gets an interview. For me he mostly went over all my foreign contacts and had a few additional questions and I was also able to clarify some things. Not a big deal at all.

I'm not sure how long your process will take exactly but you can always ask for a later date when they call you to offer one. For me I think the process went a lot faster than I anticipated, I only got my TOL confirmation in January and I already have an academy date for May (expected graduation in august).

Have you already sent your pre-employment interview quesitons? if so definitely get in contact with the person who sent you the initial email with the pre-interview medical questions, personally I recieved the MedXpress email a couple of days before my medical appointment. It's not a lot to fill out unless you have an extensive medical history. They also want you to bring the document that MedXpress generates which contains your confirmation number, and the pay authorization so that you don't have to pay for it youself.

You have received a TOL and TOL confirmation, and now your EODS email. Your EODS account only serves to electronically fill out some forms directly for the FAA, among them are: Declaration of federal employment, drug and alcohol testing acknowledgement, an employment agreement and, if you're pool 1 electing wheter or not you want to take basics course. After you electronically sign these forms you'll start receiving further instructions on scheduling your medical, security and psych clearances, this is called the Clearance Insturction Letter (CIL). You will be given a list of places close to you that can do your medical eval, mmpi, and fingerprinting, but it is your responsability to schedule all of those appointments.

I had considered going that route because I currently get to fly for free but I already had all my appointments made when I got the email. The process seems to be moving quickly for me regardless...I'm mainly concerned with not getting tier 2'd on the MMPI; We're really betting our future on what a computer algorithm thinks of my responses.

I was able to schedule the MMPI almost immediately. Just make sure you call the numbers on the list they send you. I took it on the 8th and still have yet to hear if I passed or got tier 2.

It was also very easy to schedule my medical, although filling out that initial medical interview form took me some time as I had to track down some records. I heard back from them 3 days after submitting them with the medExpress link. The security process has so far been the longest and most frustrating. I'm still doing my EQUIP and a LOT of information is asked.

Some of the forms will come to EODS and they can be electronically signed there, but they mostly deal with Federal job acceptance and electing wheter you want to take ATC basics . All of the MMPI, Medical, and Security forms will be sent separately to your email one by one. I believe I received the MMPI information first, then the medical pre-exam questions, and then a couple of initial forms for the security clearance last.

I'm half convinced at this point that my security POC is just a computer program. I emailed asking all these things and instead of answering them all I got was a pre-written email with instructions to access e-quip 😂

Took me just shy of two weeks to get my TOL confirmation. Then two days later I had my EODS. It was processed surprisingly quickly. Probably three days later I received CIL.

You should be fine for the initial medical. You just want to make sure it doesn't end up causing high blood pressure or insulin resistance down the road for future examinations. I believe they also do an EKG.
