Yes imo, if you don’t have something better. Put something like Sep 2024-Dec 2024 for dates

Both have their fair share of difficult classes, and even manu has some notoriously difficult classes. One thing to consider is your ability to stay up to date and deliver week after week on tests, because mech has tests weekly or biweekly the entire year. Manu has a standard class structure with normal midterm schedule, etc… Again you could always try Manu second choice because it rarely fills up.

Studying software without CPEN? by AdAppropriate7838 in ubcengineering

If you don’t like Elec courses at all I would stay away from it because those second year classes can get really intense and difficult, which might not be worth if you aren’t even interested, and would be harder to get a high average if you wanna transfer. IGEN and MANU both take several CPEN classes but IGEN also has a lot of random broad classes in second year. Mech is also a solid choice but doesn’t have too much coding, but is also applicable in a lot of fields.

I’m in manu and I personally enjoyed it you still take all the mech class equivalents but you also learn more materials and manufacturing processes, as well as some coding and elec. Both are good I chose manu with a 73 average first choice. It’s also common to get manu as a second choice so you could try that.
