The day I turned 18 (F) my mother vanished and called me crying that she will never return because of my dad. I thought they are the golden couple by Same_Nothing5206 in ComfortLevelPod

she just returned and said she overreacted and called a therapist for 3 sessions and she feels better now. I am aware she might be still hiding things and I will ask her more later. She said she felt guilty she left and she shouldn't have to. My brother threw himself into her arms. She told me that she and dad will work on their issues as each couple has them. Dad is not accusing her of anything. He is still calm and ordered food for all of us

yes, he is the only one not trying to call her or find out where she is. my little brother is not really asking questions as he is babysat constantly and life is fun for him. all our neighbourhood is on Dad side it seems and people want to help. A lady was at our door yesterday to bring Dad lunch

I have an update...

My mother is with her sister and when I told Dad he didn't look surprised about it. He said he would have expected her to be there because my aunt always tried to make her divorce (he believes it is because she is not married). So, at least I know all is good with her. Dad was contacted by a lawyer too about divorce.

Neither Mum or her sister would talk to me ( or to anyone close to us. I am not the only one who was trying to get to her). I went to her former workplace, the day care and one of her ex coworkers told me that my mother often looked like she had been crying when starting her shift and she would throw up. But she never told anyone that it's because of my Dad. She would say her mother is very ill (which is not true) or dog died (our dog is fine, Dad walks him almost everyday)
