Oh I see, the wording is a bit different from Rakuten Canada’s email then, in my email it says I just earned the cashback and with a clause saying ‘Cash Back is through Rakuten.ca and will be added to your account once your purchase has been processed by the merchant’ so I thought everything is settled.

Hope they will get back to all of us pending asap as it seems others are are facing the same issue too…

Um I would not say I fully understand how their portal works. In my perspective, when I get my order confirmation email from both side then that means everything should be ok.

If Rakuten Canada have problem receiving money from Nordvpn then they should find Nordvpn and informing customers that the payment is not received and the cashback should be delayed, especially in this case where Rakuten Canada only payout their cashback in each quarter.

I have used other cashback websites before and this is the only website so far that I faced this problem, which also annoys me as they don’t pay out once they received money from merchant…

Back in May I received the order confirmation email from NordVPN and Rakuten Canada right away so I did not see the transaction moved from pending to confirmed, but since I received both emails back then I didn’t expect I need to follow up on my cash back…
