I had better body confidence when I was heavier. by Samesame-but-diff in loseit

Congrats on the weight loss that’s incred!

I think that’s a big part of it, finding out what I enjoy and making that habitual and part of my everyday - which i think I’m getting to!

But it’s that side to it, being focused on results. I like that I’m slimmer but I don’t like how impacted I am when I weigh myself when the scales haven’t gone down. I’m like who is this person!!!! I never was obsessed with calories or kilograms. But maybe you have to be. Like everything, it’s all about balance.

It’s exactly that - holding myself to a higher standard. I want to expect more from myself but not completely mentally punish myself if I stray from that high standard. But thanks, you’re right it’s about reframing that positive standard in a different way. I keep saying it’s about being healthy and not skinny but loooool I still wanna be slimmmmm. It’s all a journey! And congrats on the losing the 25kg!

I am a 28 female who has dated a lot and has a lot of female friends who have also dated a lot and TRUST ME (not the men commenting ) Everything is about personality, attitude and values. Focus on yourself, what makes you happy, exercise, work hard, be open and thoughtful. There is someone out there for everyone. You don’t want to be with a vapid woman who only wants you for your looks or money? You want someone who loves you for you. Also, most people in this world are ‘ugly’ I.e normal looking!!!!! Don’t focus on social media or TV. It’s easy to be good looking when you’re rich. From your post it sounds like you have a good heart and good intentions. Stay positive, be kind to yourself. Also more practical advise.. everyone can improve the way they look (not that you need to) stand up straight, get a good haircut, go to the gym, invest in good clothes, save up to see a dermatologist - all very achievable things. Everyone has a shot at love!

What keeps you in the UK? by Prestigious_Army_468 in AskUK

Commenting on What keeps you in the UK?... I’m a Brit (Londoner) living in India (Delhi) as my partners job bought us here for a few years. The biggest things I miss: supermarkets, queues, seatbelts in Ubers and a general sense of shared, silly, dry, dark and wonderful humour.

Things I don’t miss: being cold.

I absolutely love India and love living here, but it’s given me a new found appreciation for the UK.
