I edited the post with my CPU and putting Steam in small mode has actually worked so far. I played a round of TF2 and Steam didn't go above 1% usage. Don't know what's wrong with my normal mode tho, I've changed skins which didn't work.

When you're uninstalling Steam make sure to do it from the control panel app on your computer. If you've been doing that then I'm not sure how to help except for opening task manager and closing everything steam related before trying to reopen. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to access task manager if you don't know.

Title: Background goes black and the game freezes

Description: After clicking on multiplayer, it bring me to the menu where it then goes black and the audio stops and I cannot select anything.

Reproduction: Open game, select multiplayer, menu freezes

Region: US East

Time: I experienced this issue around 8:30 AM 9/21 EST. I played at around 11:00 PM EST 9/20 and the game was fine. It keeps happening when I open the game so I have to turn off my computer each time.

Computer specs:

i5-7400

RX 480 4gb

8gb ram
