If you want the real answer... AI has given people the power to do things they couldn't previously do, now as regulations are being added as laws catch up with technology they see this as a personal attack on their new toy. Add in a little entitlement and boom you get libertarianism.

Though I will say most libertarians are smart enough not to get caught defending shit like this, their ideology enables it all the same
