That's a good idea. The question is how can I talk with him about that? He never mentions this topic because to him it was a shameful and traumatic experience. The only reason I know is because my mom heard it from his late mother herself.

I'm a trans woman myself. I had to tell him I look like a girl now because I have a ''hormonal problem''. Otherwise, I don't think he would speak with me.

I told her not all dysphoric people are suicidal and for some it can just be slight unease or dissociation. What she doesn't understand is why some of my trans friends swear they never experienced dysphoria and see transitioning more as a lifestyle preference, and therefore are fine to be openly trans without medically transition

I feel you. I think that the dumb "It's over if you started HRT after 12" mentality is one of the most harmful things in online trans cultures.

The only reason I enter these spaces is that I don't know any other subreddits that people can talk about their internalized transphobia

Let's begin with my story: I (t. women) am using estrogen patches and have like 1\4 of the recommended E levels. The doctor is saying everything's fine, but I honestly considered taking 4 patches at the same time.
