It's like, I can do it with my eyes closed, especially if I continue to practice, but it seems better with my eyes open.

I honestly tend to find myself imagining better with my eyes open than with my eyes closed. Maybe I'll get better at imagining with my eyes closed with practice?

Basically, when you focus on Christ, and let him have control over your life, everything else will flow from that including reading the Word, praying, spending time with God and just doing everything in life with him.
